it is. major and i went with another friend in 2002. baseball, decent casinos five minutes away across the river and some good partying. that's the one thing that town has every year and they go all out. very welcoming. i've decided i'm going next year if ut or rice (or swt) makes it.
Can't make it for Sunday's game, but more than likely going to make the drive from Round Rock to Omaha on Monday, and stay until hopefully Saturday morning. Pretty stoked to go, although I wish more of my friends could make it.
Interesting but successful start for the Horns. Win 7-6 over S. Miss on a walk-off walk. Arizona St. is next.
Haha, that guy sucked. Walked in the game winning run on 4 pitches. The announcer even said he needs to throw a ball down the middle of the plate and at least let the defense decide it.
Good thing is that Texas played horribly and still won. They have typically followed games like that up by playing the way they are capable of...good defense and pitching with timely hitting.
Rough start to the game getting down 6-0, but when you put 6 on one of the best starters in the country to tie it, you know things are going well.
