Sorry to rip your idea MacB... MY vote for most picturesque, but most "feel trapped, nothing to do" place would be... Albuquerque, NM Nice place to visit, wouldn't want to live there.... Again.
Shreveport has to be the armpit of the U.S. along with: PineBluff, AR- one of the worst crime rates in the U.S. and it is ugly as hell to boot. East St. Louis- Need I say more? Worst places in the world: Dirtiest hell-hole in the world. It looks like a dump with people living in it. You can smell it 8 miles before you get there. Add to the mix crazy, Khat-chewing militants who like to take cowardly potshots at you with AK's and you have a place no sane person has any business being a part of. Should have just let it be. Port Au Prince- Ditto for what I said about the Mog.
Aw man. I loved living there. If you were not into the Lobos or outdoorsman things, I can see where it would be lacking in things to do.
I don't know about you guys, but I believe the Delta Center in Salt Lake City would be the most horrid place to live on the planet!
Wrong. It's this place, even though it comes with its own full time "mailman" http://www.slcity.com/manager/listings/l2474.html# Note the classy "dead animal chic" decor....would expect nothing less from karla..
I would have a seriously hard time eating at that dining room table with all of the stuffed dead animals around.
Actually, I've never been. Heard great things about it. So they have lots of stuffed dead animals decorating the place? Probably means I won't be visiting anytime soon.
Couldn't agree more...I worked at those buildings on the left side of the picture (PNM)...The best weather (except for the winds), but now that I'm in Dallas, it just proves this point that Texas women rock...
Yeah, Tex, it's styled after an old-school Western hunting lodge - lotsa wood & stuff mounted on the walls - but it fits the wild game themed menu. I can understand how some folks are turned off to that.
I would think that a place like Newport, AR would be worse since you have to go to Jonesboro to entertain yourself.
Well as long as we're talking about the world here, I fail to see how any place in America can be mentioned as a horrible place to live.
