I can see them when I follow the link, and then they show up from the cache on here, that's what's happening to you. I liked them though. I get a kick out of seeing those old cars riding around Havana.
MacBeth, SJC mentioned Venice in the summer, which brought to mind the fact that many of the best places are completely different during the summer months. I remember going to Venice in March and loved it, although it was cold. It was seemed almost deserted. Something to consider while you look. Sort of like buying a house... you want to see it when it rains to check the drainage. Sam, that looks like heaven.
2 years ago i went on a vacation to Croatia. that is the most beautifull country that i ever have been to. i really loved that country. i will post a pic when i get to a better computer.(my normal pc crashed)
I like living in the 4 Corners area... you can go from timberline to desert in no time, the mix of cultures and the cultural history here is incredible, and there's skiing in the winter. I understand the appeal of urban life and the culture it can provide, and I like the pastoral life as well, but I've got to be close to a wilderness or something like it for those times when I OD on civilization. I can be in Durango in 4 hours, Moab in 7, the Grand Canyon in 8, and countless other cool places that I won't name. Another big plus about where I live is a nice little pocket of darkness, making the night sky a beautiful sight. Where I'm at now allows me to experience culture and nature when I choose and I get paid for working and living here...
That looks like the beach/town in that movie with Matt Damon. Can't remember the name of the movie, but he takes over someones identity.. (not bourne identity).
Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada I don't know if you could live here or not, but still a beautiful place to visit.
I know that Biarritz was in the Bourne identity, Biarritz is along the same coastline, just further north and in France. I think Mr. Ripley is all in Italy along the med, different sea!
For a dose of reality we should now start a thread with pictures from our backyard That would be hilarious.
View from an overlook about two miles from the valley my family calls home, Dahlonega, GA. I can't believe I put Dahlonega in Google and this is what comes up. Amazing. Amicalola Falls, which is about six miles from my house.
Near Westcliffe, Colorado I don't have any of my pictures on my computer but southern Colorado in June and July is beautiful.
Biarritz is on the atlantic coast of France - quite south near the border to Spain. "the talented Mr. Ripley" movie plays in the area called "Amalfi Coast" south of Napoli (Naples) in the Gulf of Naples. Here some pics and infos from that great region: http://www.amalfiscoast.com/inglese/town/amalfi.htm I almost went for vacation to that place the last week, but it is quite expensive. Will go there once for sure.
Cheju(do) island off the coast of South Korea. Very nice vacation spot, I wouldn't mind living there.
