This side arm. Carr rejoices in hard work of fresh start By RICHARD JUSTICE Copyright 2006 Houston Chronicle There are days when David Carr has had too many things thrown at him, days when he looks like he's in over his head. "I get him rattled sometimes," Gary Kubiak said. At times like these, Kubiak does something that hasn't been done to Carr enough. Kubiak keeps pushing and coaching and demanding. "I've been hard on him," Kubiak said. "But I expect a lot from him. As I told him, 'That's the way I'm going to stay. That's the way we're going to work. Because you're going to play well for this team.' " They're joined at the hip, this first-year head coach and fifth-year quarterback of the Texans. Kubiak isn't subtle about what's on the line. "How David Carr goes, this team is probably going to go," he said. "We've got to get him going right." There are days when Carr gets lazy with his delivery and allows his arm to drop too low. There are days when he's casual with his footwork, when his throws don't have the zip or accuracy they should. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/justice/texans/3898813.html
Sucks for us fans that this always happens to be on Sundays. Oh well we'll see how Kubiak is with the rookie QB of his choice next year.
I think the "organized activites" go on pretty much all day. Not sure for how much longer. I think I read something a while back that said all practices are open until the season starts when they will all be closed.
What number is Joppru? Is he in any of these pics? I'm curious as to what his physique looks like at this point.
Cool. I'd heard he had lost a lot of weight in his 3 year vacation or so with the team. But he doesn't look that much smaller than Billy Miller in that pic above.
I actually had a dream about the Texans last night. They were starting their first series of the year...I'm not sure who they were playing. But they were really impressive. Carr completed pass after pass. Finished it up with a TD pass to Putzier. And I thought, "wow..this team is gonna be really good." That's all.
