How can some of you put Wade above Kobe? Wade hasn't gotten out of the 1st round in 4 years in the East where the competition is much weaker
Pg: Rondo Rose A-Brooks SG: T-Mac Kobe D-wade SF: Kevin Durant Iggy Ariza PF: Stoudemire Landry Scola C: Howard Yao Shaq
so kobe wasn't the best SG when he didn't get out of the first round for 3 years himself earlier on? here's my list: PG 1 - paul and deron (tied) 2 - nash 3 - rose (i think he'll make the leap to #3 this year if not better) SG 1a - kobe 1b - wade 2 - roy SF 1 - lebron 3 - durant (yes, lebron is 2 levels ahead of the next guy) 4 - melo PF 1 - gasol 2 - dirk 3 - bosh C 1 - howard (overrated) 2 - duncan 3 - yao?
PG: Nash, Paul, Deron Williams SG: Kobe, Wade, Roy SF: LeBron, Durant, Carmelo PF: Gasol, Bosh, Nowitzki C: Duncan, DHoward, Bogut
as I gave my reasoning for my statement...the competition is weaker in the East and Wade has a better supporting cast that Kobe's "dark years"
lamar odom and caron butler are better than anyone on the heat, even on their worst days. so please, that argument isn't going to fly. wade is more efficient than kobe ever is, and he's a better passer than kobe. so it's "reasonable" if people want to argue wade is a better player than kobe. it's not like kobe by far and away the best SG anymore like he used to be. kobe and wade and interchangeable. you can put wade on the lakers and they do the same thing. remember, wade averaged 33 points on 50%+ shooting the same celtics team that kobe looked above average against.
point guard chris paul deron williams rajon rondo/steve nash....idk shooting guard dwayne wade kobe bryant brandon roy small forward lebron james kevin durant carmelo anthony power forward pau gasol chris bosh dirk center dwight howard tim duncan yao ming
Lamar Odom and Kobe missed a ton of games in 2004/2005, they were hovering in the 6-8 spot the whole year before injuries destroyed the season and their coach also quit halfway thru the season. Wade has the numbers but obviously its not translating into winning. He's playing in a weaker conference he could've had gotten a top 4 standing in the East and avoided being on the road again. Kobe and Wade are not interchangeable, Wade isn't the closer Kobe is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bbdt-ZL_S1M
lol, where did that come from? Nash is the only player I've ever seen break his nose and finish the game he was in. Remember when Bosh broke his nose and wouldn't get off the ground.....Remember this year in the playoffs when Nash cut his left eye and literally closed that game out shooting with one eye shut....and he was still more efficient on the offensive end than Rondo....
PG 1. Rondo 2. Brooks 3. Rose SG 1. McGrady (all time favorite) 2. Martin 3. Vince Carter SF 1. LeBron 2. Durant 3. Iguodala (1 and 2 tied) PF 1. Bosh 2. Scola 3. Garnett C 1. Yao 2. Howard 3. Perkins
Wade is way more efficient than Kobe in the end of games. Wade has had to play with absolutely no support. His supporting cast is so pathetic. None of the starters on his team would start on a solid playoff team. And I laugh at people putting Yao over Dwight. Dwight took Courtney Lee, Rafaer Alston, Hedo and Rashard to the NBA finals and the Magic had a great chance of actually winning if they didn't choke. Dwight is a top 5 player in the league and you put Yao over him.
People seriously don't know the meaning of a point guard... "Point guard (PG), also called the play maker or "the ball-handler", is one of the standard positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position – essentially, they are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right players at the right time. Above all, the point guard must totally understand and accept his or her coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_guard
Wow, Duncan played center one year, so what? He is considered one of the best PF's of all time, not centers. There is a reason. Duncan is a PF. If Duncan plays center, then how come in the all star game he starts as a forward?
B/c when the all-star ballot originally listed Duncan as a center, the Spurs organization cried until the NBA listed him as a forward. I think he's a center. His game is far more similar to Ewing/Robinson/Olajuwon than it is to Barkely/Malone/Rodman.
He has played Center the last several years... Robert Horry, Matt Bonner, Antonio McDyess, Dejuan Blair... He has played several minutes at both spots, and as he has gotten older, he has gravitated towards the C spot because of his diminishing quickness...
