    C-Dream
    PF-Garnett
    SF-LeBron
    SG-Jordan
    PG-Glove

That defense is insane... Offense and spacing is also very good...

I'll take the award for best 5....

Wow. U can even take Lebron out n stick Pippen in there and that team would be just as dangerous.

Lebron is a better facilitator and i need that more for spacing...vi contemplated pippin but i honestly think Lebron is a better defender...

I wouldn't have Bird and Jordan on the same team and with elite post scorers already I'd just look for a great shooter at SG.

    Hakeem
    Duncan
    Bird
    Allen
    Johnson

Though I could see problems with having Allen guarding opposing combo-guards in the mold of Rose/ Westbrook/ Lawson.

    Hakeem
    Lebron
    Bird
    Allen
    Johnson

    Or maybe

    Hakeem
    Duncan
    Bird
    Allen
    Lebron

Interestingly we could compare best statistical seasons for

    Larry Bird

    28.7 points 10.5 rebounds 6.6 assists 3.1 turnovers 1.1 blocks 1984-1985 age 28

    50/40/88

    vs

    Kevin Durant

    28.3 points 7.9 rebounds 4.4 assists 3.5 turnovers 1.2 blocks 2012-2013 age 24

    50/40/90

They're pretty damn close and Durant is only approaching his prime years.

I think when it's all said and done Durant could have a case over Bird for 2nd best SF of all-time. The championship titles are an issue though.

    1- Magic
    2- Kobe
    3- Durant
    4- Ralph
    5- Dream

Now try stopping this run n gun. Size DO matters. How I miss the twin towers.... And I doubt we will ever see a PF leading the break and the center finishing the play after the same center got a block or a steal.

    Little none-traditional thought here

Michael Ray Richardson - PG: 1984-85

    Sidney Moncrief - SG: 1982-83

    Bernard King - SF: 1984-85

    Chris Webber - PF: 2000-01

    Aryvdas Sabonis - C: 1985-86, if I cannot use him I'll go Bill Walton - C: 1976-77

    Here's another one:

    Steve Nash - PG: 2004-05
    Julius "Dr. J" Erving - SG: 1979-80
    Josh Smith - SF: 2007-08
    Larry Nance - PF: 1986-87
    David Robinson - C: 1993-94

cool to see Sabonis get recognition from several people. i don't think his prime counts for this thread but still cool to imagine. he should've been the generational rival to Hakeem, like Russell-Wilt, Shaq-Duncan or (if Walton stayed healthy) Walton-Kareem.

Chris Paul (2008/2009, NOH, great passing, not bad defense and this is what I need to fill everything in this starting five)
James Harden (2012/2013, HOU, perfect scoring, good tempo and beard lol)
LeBron James (2012/2013 MIA, I don't like his style of play, but he's productive as hell and could pass/steal the balls, plays well in defense and can finish extremely well)
Jeff Green (favourite player for personality, BOS)
Shaquille O'Neal (1999/2000, LAL, because of dominating in the paint and good finishing)

    The Running team -

PG - Steve Nash 2004-05 Deadly Shooter. Best at running the fast break. Lackluster on D but shouldn't really matter.

SG - Michael Jordan 1990-91 It doesn't really matter what system you're going for. Jordan is always the best option at SG.

SF - Lebron James 2012-13 Lebron hasn't seemed to lose much athleticism. Has gained shooting.

PF - Charles Barkley 1986-87 His prime run and gun years. Insanely efficient offensively

C - Bill Russell Greatest defender of all time. Outlet passes would be perfect. He and Barkley can bound the boards.

Shaq and Wilt were also considered at center.
