That wouldn't even be a career year for him everything else being equal.

    Defense -Mitchell.
    Honorable mention to Tim Jamison

    Offense: Brooks.
Honorable mention to Devier Posey...I would rank Posey first but I do think it will take him a couple more months to get back some of his top end speed

True but since we've been winning his numbers are a lot less than his 5k year

I am hoping that the break out player is Matt Schaub. After all the drubbing he has received this off season, he needs to take it to another level. If he can't, then he needs to step aside (which won't happen, since they are paying him a gezillion dollars.) So, Matt, show us what you got!

defense >> Brooks Reed. Kind of a disappointment last year. I'm hoping he breaks out this year.

offense >> Keshawn Martin. I think he could be the key in the slot and on ST.

The Difference Maker >> Shane Lechler. Lechler will be the reason the Texans D will lead the league in safeties.

Mercilus is my pick as breakout player on defense.

I have a hard time saying Brooks as he will need Newton to be productive for him to show his chops. I'm hoping it is Hopkins. I think it will be Graham as he takes starter role from OD.

I really have a good feeling about Posey. He was taken as a project and seems like a hard worker. I think he'll do big things for us this year.

    This.

Nuk will benefit from single coverage (thanks to AJ) and deep routes on play action.

Mitchell had an outstanding camp and will benefit from double teams on Watt.

Hopkins on Offense (Greg Jones will have a huge impact, although I'm not counting this as a "breakout")
Mitchell on Defense (he's not Shaun Cody)
