Pick-up Game

The game IS the festivities!

We'll start a thread as we get closer to the day for signing up what everyone can bring.

And I don't think we'll have enough people for a keg. Just bring what you want to drink...should be plenty.

 

Every time you talk about these pick-up games, I wish I could make it. I was gonna be in Houston last December, but ended up going to Miami instead (which was great, btw).

I've promised myself I'm gonna see a Rockets game live. Maybe I'll head over in April sometime...

Yes, I might talk a bit of noise, but I have backed it up. I've been to a few c(f).net pickup games, and held my own.

 

Kam Kam he's our man, if he can't do it, Roc Paint will.

 

Now that I have reread this thread 500 times, I just wanted to say, this afternoon, I did a practice drive from my house in the Hamptons to galveston. I mean League City. I'd say it was about ten or 15 minutes from the beltway. I forgot the street name that I exited, but it had an Academy next to it. It said League City seven miles. or was that Kemah? I guess it's not too bad. I didn't want to go too fast, because I think there are a bunch of cops on 45. I took it easy.

That's the right exit. FM 518, otherwise known as Main St. Kemah is 7 miles east of League City.

And there are no more cops on 45 than any other freeway

The best games have been at UH, there's some good players out there.

 

it feels like the i-10 katy freeway has a bunch of State Troopers.

 

i'm in. haven't had any new competition in awhile. i guess playing at the same place every day doesn't help.

You can count me in... I played one time up at Rice with about three or four other guys: B, Kam, RocketsRedGlare, and I think Ron came there at the end.

 

Yeah all those guys were there and also HeyP and Grega showed up there. That was pretty cool.

Okay, I haven't read this thread in a while and I missed a lot...am I to assume the pickup game is going to be March 28th? Is that what was decided? If so, I am in. I don't work that day. Any other weekend surrounding that one and odds are I will be working (including the other proposed date of the first weekend in April).
