I know its not that far. I live off the next exit on 290 after hollister. I am just not familiar with league city, and clear lake and that area.

I drove towards pasadena, basically east houston, east of the 610 east loop, you could say, and I felt so uncomfortable there. I felt like I was somewhere else. I saw all those smokestacks, and i was like damn, this place is creeping me out. If you people live in that area, my apologies. Maybe it seems allright.

That day, it was kinda dark, and a bunch of cloud cover, I guess that may have had something to do with it.

Hell, I work in that place. In fact, I have direct control over one of those smokestacks. (For the record, they are called "stacks", not smokestacks. Smoke has a negative feeling to it.)

I used to work off the Tidwell exit of 290. If there was no traffic, it was a 45 minute drive.

Sonny showed up to the last game. You didn't Rocketman95, neither did AB. Scared? Probably. I used and abused Sonny, capping off the ownage with a strip of the ball and a coast-to-coast game-finishing lay-in. The case was closed, no question about it.

In terms of pure talent, I was head and shoulders above the rest of you. There appeared to be no organized basketball experience amongst any of the people I played with. None. In terms of physical conditioning, I was leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of you. Two players in particular when taking turns trying to dunk the ball. It was embarrassing. They were only scraping the rim with the ball -- a good foot and a half beneath what is needed to slam. Strangely, these same people are here on these very boards bragging about their verticals. Laughable to say the least.

May I suggest you people play these games on a regular basis? You need the practice to even begin to approach my level of excellence.

    GOOD DAY

tj_hooker - you've missed every game since your magical fantasy performance... scared?

I defer the "used and abused" statement to your right hand....

And if you ever need to know what it looks like above the rim, let me know.

Behad this sounds awesome. Thanks! :D

Um, I lived in Dallas at the time, and didn't decide until the day of to come down for the Smeg festivities (I didn't whine about the 240 mile drive I made, either).

Scared? Hardly. I couldn't care less if you are or are not better at basketball than me. I'm just going to have some fun with fellow Rockets' fans. It sounds as if you're the one who's scared. Won't drive 30 minutes to prove this "athletic prowess" you claim to possess to the rest of the board. Of course, no one seems too impressed after the first game...

Of course, you won't be missed, so I don't know why I'm even bothering.

Like R2K, I'll be there barring an emergency at work. Murphy hasn't bugged me in awhile, so we'll see what happens.

OmegaSupreme, I live down the block from you, so let's car pool. I'll drive, you can pitch in for gas. I'd have you drive, but I get dizzy when anyone other than myself drives. I have a Triton V-8, 5.4L, so start saving! That goes for anyone else who lives in/around Sugar Land.

I'm going to do a yahoo maps lookup for League City. All I know about League City is that there are dead possum marks all over the street.

Maybe it's better if T_J doesn't come. I get the feeling RM95 and T_J might throw down. And as good as your posts are T_J, I don't know how many ppl would back you up.
