We all know both Jones and Motiejunas are set to get paid next summer. We either lose one or even both players but i just don't see Morey matching both contract offers and spend that huge on power forwards. So if you had to pick between the two, who would you rather keep on this team and why?

All depends on contract and what happens this year

At this point: Jones, but let's wait and see. People write him off despite his awesome start at the beginning of the year and he did a very nice job in the play-offs. D-Mo showed improvement, but I'm still doubting he will ever get it. Jones is more versatile and reaching his potential up till this point. It still hinges on how D-Mo recovers and what he can do for a longer stretch of games, we already know what Jones can do.

Should have been a public poll IMO.

    Bad timing for this poll.

Jones just came off of a injury riddled season, while Motiejunas came off of his breakout season.

But to answer the question, whoever performs the best this season, and if they perform equal, then whoever signs for cheaper.

Yea this is the right answer. I'm fairly confident it will end up being D-Mo, but it will all come down to how they perform this year, how the team performs, how much each sign for, etc. Way too many variables to consider at this point, but I personally believe it will be Donuts.

Voted DMo, but tough choice. IF Jones can get it together, especially mentally, he might have the higher upside.

Hopefully both are healthy and this season should definitely tell. Hey they could both turn out too good to let leave, if at all possible under the cap.

I like Jones but (assuming DMo doesn't have a chronic back problem) I'll pick DMo because 7 footers with skill are hard to find.

They've both scored 51 points before, but Brewer comes with no Kardashiana. So I gotta go Brew here.

Last playoffs he averaged 10ppg 3rpg on 42% fg shooting and 15% from the 3-pt area.

I want to keep Terantas Motiejones. I know it is a pipe dream. Morey is not going to pay both of them big money. One of them is going to be gone.

Both have their own strength and weaknesses. DMo probably commands more value at this point mainly because he is a rarer breed than Jones.

DMo. I like Jones but his defensive awareness/positioning is sad to watch.

I chose D-Mo by the way because he's our best post player. He has also improved on his defense and 3-point shooting (from 25% in 2013-14 to 37% this past season). Don't get me wrong, i like T.Jones as well but i always find myself asking.. what is the one thing he does great or good consistently for this team?

D-Mo was a revelation last season. He was one of the major reasons why we were still winning games despite the injuries to Dwight and TJ. Whenever we needed scoring outside of Harden, we went to D-Mo in the post.

this is a no brainer. i dont get why rockets fans would pick jones over motie. he played most of his minutes at center last season and still did ok considering it was a breakout year.

I pick DMo based upon his versatility.

He isn't as explosive as Jones but the fact that he can play the 4 or 5 and can spread the floor as a 4 just makes him infinitely more valuable than a guy who is strictly a 4.

That's not to open the debate on who's the "better player" just the more valuable to the roster.
