Finally another poster here who sees what I see. Wilson Chandler is a rich man's Courtney lee: extremely athletic, good head on his shoulders, solid skillset, willingness to defend the NBA's best AND with good enough handles to drive to the rim and finish. He's not gonna be MJ, but think what would happen if you combined Trevor Ariza's body with Shane Battier's mental prowess and Aaron Brooks' aggressiveness and willingness to step up in the clutch: you'd get Wilson Chandler.

He's the co-MVP of his team and the co-main reason the Knicks are better than us (along with Amare). One reason NY wants to trade him is because Melo is coming, and if they are selling we should be buying. I'd trade anyone outside of PP for him, even Brooks+a pick+C-bud+Hill.

I would love to have Wilson Chandler on the team, but I just don't see it happening. Even if he does come down here, I can see him bolting for some other team in the offseason, and would Donnie Walsh be willing to part with such a valuable asset for just JJ and a pick?

Chandler is a nice player, but I don't know if he's going to be better than Granger.

When you have a star (Amare) or even a 2nd option to take away defensive pressure and double teams it really helps your offense flourish. Granger has no one to take pressure off him offensively. And he doesn't have nearly the offensive system or an offensive coach like D'Antoni.

I think Granger on the Rockets would be a return to form similar to what happened for KMart.

That said, if we can't get a star I would take a look at Chandler as a secondary option. I would want a third team involved for a deal to get a true center as well. Still not 100% about it though.

Something to think about too. Is he the kind of guy that would demand a big contract or leave (is he a candidate for being overpaid)? Would his contract size hurt us from signing a true star later?

Can you tell me who else on NY's team is worth a pick besides Randolph and Chandler?? The other players are involved with the Denver trade.

Knicks would need to buy out a salary similar to that of Chandler to sign Melo to a max contract. Rockets can take Chandler for an expiring. Then trade back the Knicks 2012 1st round for Randolf.

Have y'all noticed that Granger has fallen a good bit from last year?

Yeah, i noticed that as well. I have always thought that Granger was somewhat of a chucker.

I really hope thats not the case. That wouldn't look good. As far as Randolph or whoever is up for a pick, i expect something to happen soon. Like this week.

Granger is in "Raymond Felton mode"basically coasting because their team is in limbo. Look for him to play much better once he leaves a mediocre franchise like the Pacers.

I've read that Walsh wants to acquire a 2012 pick and trade it to Houston for their original 2012 pick. Then, having their original 2012 pick, they can give 2011 + 2013 picks to Denver.
