Chandler could absolutely yield a first rounder. He could be used like they plan to use Devin, to flip to another team for other talent. The trade Joebarelycares proposed makes some sense, especially if it could be sweetened enough to get Denver out of luxury tax.
Hate to say it. But Eddy Curry would be an upgrade at the 5 with this current bunch if we did trade for him.
then we might be stuck with long and fat contracts unless we can trade these decent players for a super star. frankly speaking, the chance is tiny. other teams won't accept decent players for their super star unless you sweeten a deal with one of top three picks overall. unfortunately, we won't have 1st round pick which will be included in your trade.
I like it, but where does Wilson fit in? We have so many wings at this point. I'd take him over Chase though. Randolph would be interesting too, but he doesn't put us over the top. We need something with more firepower.
superstars will go where they want, not where their team wants, having top 3 picks is all well and good, but since the power is almost exclusively in the hands of the player themselves, it means very little. If Carmelo says no to new jersey, all their "top 3 pick" has shown is that they suck, if we had a top 3 pick, it would prove the same thing.
You need assets that can convince said player that he can win with you, not assets to prove desirable to another team, since superstars only get traded if they wont extend.
agree. either we have to grow our own super stars or show the money. nowadays, it's hard to trade your a set of decent players for a star. it depends on stars's willingness on where they want. i know money won't be only factor those stars focus on but you can't deny money is the most important. having cash in your hand gives you better chance to land a star than trading your decent players for a star who doesn't want to come here.
AFTER the seemingly inevitable buy-out of EC (after Trade Deadline) I definitely would. IMHO Curry and Bynum are twins, separated at birth. Had Curry found his way to PhilLand and Bynam to IsaihVille their career paths would have been reversed.
OT Question: Pass on Curry getting any PT. He doesn't rebound, pass and plays sloppy D. I used to think he was just given a raw deal but the showtime minutes he was given over the past couple of years were so bad they actually lowered his trade value further. Total black hole that looks only to shoot. Don't think that will fly under RA.
its probably best to develop our own young players in jordan hill, patrick patterson, and terrence williams instead of getting these new new york guys. in other words, its best to trade away scola, battier, hayes, miller, yao, for picks and capspace
ur title is confusing. and so is ur description when u said "but today". it made me think houston was in the mix and im sure erybody started searching for it in the article.
