1) Vanderbilt -- fan since I was 5, mom, sister and I all went to school there 2) Memphis -- went to grad school there -- won't go out of my way to watch them, though, and can only name 1 player on their team 3) Georgia Tech -- dad went there I also tend to cheer for the schools of my friends. I won't tell you what the are, though, so as not to violate the rules of the thread.
1. Cal (my alma mater) 2. Texas (grew up rooting for them, have legacies in the family) 3. Who cares? (If forced, I kinda like Ohio State. Have a couple fanatical Ohio State fans for friends who have dragged me to enough Buckeye games at sports bars that I guess I kinda like them.)
1) USC -> Went to school there 2) Anyone playing Notre Dame (that does kick in my Catholic guilt, however) 3) Whoever is playing FUCLA Although I'm sure I'm not the only one on this board who kind of digs Michigan, when I was a kid I always thought they had the best helmets.
Texas - alma mater of myself, my sister, and her husband Michigan State - alma mater of my brother and his wife Georgia Tech - alma mater of my father
LSU (alum, and the best atmosphere in CFB IMO) UCLA (this week, last week it was Fresno State) Stanford (my son wants to go there)
Texas - dropped out in 1998 Florida State - liked them since I was a kid, went to the 95 Sugar Bowl, loved it Oregon - Not really a fan, I'm just fascinated by the green helmets.
Texas Michigan - always respected their academics and tradition Nebraska - great fans, great tailgating, and awesome gameday atmosphere
1. Sam Houston (alma matar) 2. Texas - I've been a fan since James Brown beat Nebraska in the first Big 12 Championship game. Plus Earl Campbell is my all-time favorite athlete. 3. Notre Dame - Best helmets in football, plus I love the movie Rudy. I also pull for all the old SWC teams.
