thing is, lebron CANNOT afford to have a slow GAME, let alone a slow 3-4 games to a series.

he gets blasted for putting up 35, 8, 8 in the playoffs 2 years ago.
and this year, he gets blasted for putting up 30, 7, 7.

do you see the expectations for lebron v. kobe?

JVG openly questioned why kobe sucked in game 7 offensively and yet te lakers were still in prime position to win v. boston. makes you wonder who else are on the lakers? hmm...

A-Rod was horrible every year in the playoffs until last year.

Can't say the same for LeBron James.

Lebron will avg a triple double, win his 3rd straight mvp and then win a championship, its his team now even though he wont lead them in scoring next year

I meant that A-Rod was the best player in the majors but when he joined the Yankees it was Jeters team, only difference is that A-Rod was traded

Just 'cause you're the closer doesn't mean its your team. Pierce or Allen are the closers in the Celtics. Whose team was it? It was KG's before, and now it's Rondo's.

In the same way, when Shaq and Kobe had the three-peat, it was Shaq's team even though Kobe was the closer then. Also in the bulls, MJ closed games only a few times, other guys like Pippen, Steve Kerr or Kukoc routinely hit big shots that sealed the deal in numerous games. It's still his team though.

If LBJ puts up another 28 5 5 performance and wins his 3rd MVP then its his team. Wade will be 30 anyway, LBJ is only 26.

    Exactly ding ding ding ding.

We saw exactly why LeBron couldn't afford to have a bad game. He has a bad game people says he's a quitter.

The man played bad for two games and now people have come up with about 7 other games they claim he has quit in.

Magic Johnson was one of the most multi-faceted and dominant players in his time but he was content to be 2nd fiddle.

Lebron fits Magic's game. I could easily see him slipping into that role.

Oh. I'm kind of disappointed. I clicked on the thread hoping to see a hilariously gay photoshop of the three. Sigh. :(

I agree that at the moment Kobe is the best all around player in the league. As close to jordan as we have seen since jordan. He plays both ends of the court and he finishes games and series. He also plays much better than LBJ in the half court, i.e. much better basketball IQ.

You beat LBJ by forcing him into a half court set and making him think. When he can run coast to coast, gather, and dunk on everyone... of cource he is the most dominant at that.

except AROD sucks in the playoffs statistically. jeter delivers in the playoffs even when his teams were eliminated.

    lebron is nothing like AROD.

lebron "can" play magic's game b/c he's one of the best passers in the game despite playing the SF position.

but the thing is, he's a better offensive player than magic was. he's also a better offensive and defensive player than wade.

plus, wade is NOT a big man that shoots a higher fg% than lebron. lebron is a much more efficient player than wade, and a much better all-around offensive player.

now if wade was a prime shaq or dream, obviously lebron would have to defer b/c those guys would get easier buckets from the paint.

but lebron scores better than wade in the paint. so tell me why should he defer to wade ON THE COURT when he scores easier than wade? and he's a better defender and rebounder than wade? and contrary to popular belief, he's a more clutch player than wade statistically.

well, here's what wade thinks about lebron james:

"I don't think anyone deserved it over LeBron," Miami's Dwyane Wade said. "LeBron could get it every year. It's his award to lose. That's how it is with certain players. Jordan didn't win it every year. Jordan could have won it every year. But the criteria was apparently a little different."

so if wade considers james on the level of jordan's dominance in that he could win the MVP every year, i would think wade thinks lebron is the best in the L and the most dominant player. so yes, wade will let bron do his thing on the court.

when you have lebron, it's only common sense that you should. he's freakin' better.
