You realize all those guys hitting the 3's is because of Nash/Amare pick-and-rolls or sometimes cuz of Amare facing up a much slower big man, right? Players just don't leave 3 point threats open because they like to go and talk to each other across court. And yes, the pick-and-roll worked with Marion/Diaw last year with Amare out, but not as well. But why is Amare better than them at this? Because A) He is just plain bigger than them and will have a lot easier time finishing around the basket. B) Marion/Diaw can't create their own shot as well as Amare can when he faces a defender in the post. The reason Amare is so vital to that team is he creates somewhat of a half-court threat for them. In the playoffs, when the game slows down and they are facing good competition every night, they have to be able to score sometimes in a half-court set. The fact that you wish that someone get hurt and end their career shows that you have no class at all.
