This is interesting. As of July 7 he still was not 100%. At the least, that gives some hope that last year was just a fluke and this next year he could actually contribute.

If Pike can regain his shooting touch... there is no reason what so ever that he should not be a major contributor to our rotation. We need pure shooters like him.

Well if Pike can Regain his " Shot " it canly help Yao and Tracy. when Opposing teams start Resorting to Collaps D on yao, Pike should be able to Burn team from the Beyond arch.

Does it matter what he thinks? He doesn't get to play anyway.

Don't forget Portland Trail Blazers, a 20 years more solid playoff
team. which made a short sleep last year. Next season,
    1San Antonio
    2Mini
    3Sacramento
    4Houston/Denver/Portland
    7Memphis
    8Dallas/Utah
    Sun
    Lakers
    Warriors
    Hornets
    Sonics
    Clippers

When has Portland actually accomplished anything? Getting their butts kicked in the playoffs is not an overwhelming accomplishment. Didn't the Bulls and Rockets mow them over? If your just want to go by getting to the playoffs.....go with Utah. I hate them, but you can't argue with 18 straight playoff appearances. Last year was I think their first lottery appearance. Our team MADE the lottery by tanking with Sampson to get Olajuwan.

I also know that Portland was in the lottery in 84. they lost a coin flip and drafted an idiot instead of MJ.

Denver definitely improved by getting Kenyon Martin but I think they still need to gain on us.

Very interesting to learn he was more hobbled by the ankle than we imagined.

I think this goes further to help believe that last year was an aberration for Pike and he will revert back to his former production.

If so, he gives us a tremendous weapon we were missing last year.

When did he have surgery? I knew it was a bad sprain, but not that Pike had it worked on.
