PHX Sun open to TRADING 6TH overall Pick for a veteran pointguard

I think we'd have to make it more worth their while than a 34 year-old CP3. I don't know what kind of cap space they'll have; God knows a top 10 pick and beaucoup cap space would be nice.

I like CP3's game when he's healthy, but those three words preceding the comma (the qualifier, mind you) aren't worth the funny State Farm commercials anymore:

1) "CLUTCH, NO!"

2) "Are you being serious right now?"

 

I'm there with ya though I'm hoping the front office in Phoenix is a bit smarter this go around. That being said, I would love to get the #6, Tyler Johnson, and a trade exception for Paul. You could, IN THEORY, move the #6 (and maybe another 1st) and Tyler Johnson to Orlando for Aaron Gordon. Move Eric into the starting guard spot:

Use the $16 million trade exception to find yourself a couple of good role players. Maybe OKC pushes Ferguson up the depth chart and make Roberson (coming off a bad injury) expendable? Maybe Aaron Baynes opts into the last year of his current contract and Ainge wants a bit of cap relief? That's $16 combined there

PHX isn’t trying to trade for CP0...they want a veteran PG, but that doesn’t mean they want 1 on an albatross deal that’s 34 years old in exchange for the 6th pick...don’t even waste your time thinking it could happen

 

Chris Paul was a veteran PG 8 years ago.

 

If Phoenix had kept Ariza they could have made a serious run in 2020 with Paul running the show at point.

Now, we have 3 real all-stars and a 6th man of the year coming off the bench. Tucker, Scott, Beal, House, and Green are corner 3 point snipers.

 

CP3 might kill Morey if he traded him to the Suns

 

If CP3 was only 31 we would have back 2 back championships and wouldn’t even consider trading him cuz we would have 2 top ten players in the league.

 

Klay strained hammy. Nothing solid about KD returning. Looney done for the year. Igoudala limping. Steph "mystery illness". Livingston and Bogut aren't hurt, just washed up.

If those first five guys were healthy, you'd probably be right. As it is this thing is very much in doubt.

 

CP3 is still an above average player. Superstar/star--no. But y'all trippin' acting like he's MCW or something.

 

Nobody would have ever thought we could have done worse than Ryan Anderson's contract....

 

If Morey can do that, you need to run for President in 2020.

 

Send Chris and Capela over there for a pick and Jackson. We would finally get a wing with lenght and defensive ability + we can maybe draft some future superstar with 6 pick
