all i know is that we gotten weaker this offseason if we can't find a solid replacement for ariza and we are now locked in quite a risky contract for injury prone cp3 (still great player but soooo risky). Meanwhile in Smug Warriorland, they just resigned btch ass durant at a cheaper contract cause he's too beta to demand max contract.
Plain and simple. Ariza just isn’t starting material anymore. For the money he wanted and ultimately got... it didn’t make sense for us to pay that much to have him come off the bench. We got a lot of mileage out of him. His best years have been gone for a couple seasons now. I’m glad he got paid. I’m curious to see who our new starting 3 is. I know/ secretly hope it’s not going to be Luc. But if it is hopefully we can get a signifant upgrade at the 4. No matter what in Morey I trust but mannn guys are flying off the board and getting paid! I’m hoping we get someone 28 and under. Doesn’t have to be a deadeye shooter (not like Ariza was anything close to that anyways) but hopefully a decent defender but more importantly the 2 things I really want at the 3 is athleticism and playmaker/can dribble. I thought Will Barton would’ve been a great fit but noticed Denver kept him for a pretty penny. Tyreke Evans would be real nice. Excellent handles/playmaker, good size, can play 3 positions. Insurance for CP3/Harden. Makes Ego expendable if we choose to go a different route/opportunity to improve elsewhere presents itself. He’s going to get paid more than we can afford but I’d at least present an offer. Dude’s been playing for bottom feeders his whole career. Maybe if we can get somewhere close to his highest bidder he’d be enticed about playing for a contender for once.
A bit surprised by this but good for Trevor. His absence will be felt in one way or another. I will say that there are quite a few low basketball IQ posts in this thread.
I appreciate what Ariza has done for us but personally I'm not gonna miss him. He was just too inconsistent for me and that game 7 was such a big let down. Dude is getting paid and I am happy for him. Lets be real, as good of a defender Ariza may be, no one is stopping Lebron or KD.

Damn Trevor I’m stunned he honestly must’ve not liked just being a catch & shoot player. Trevor was just a solid ass dude, nowhere near 15 mil.
