"Off the hook" Where is this ****ing hook? Why is everything that is good not somehow attached to the hook? Is it a bad hook? Is it Captain Hook? I wouldn't want to be attached to Dustin Hoffman either, but that is a whole other story.
You know what's worse than that? "Off the chain" I think a lot of people use this phrase without even knowing where it comes from, exactly what they're saying, and so on and so forth. Oh...wait a minute...that would include...me...
I have never heard that one used. But yes, I am sure that would annoy me just as much as "off the hook." And yes, AB, you can use that if you really want to. I certainly won't be becoming a stand up comedian any time soon. Feel free.

I got roasted by a girl here at work for saying something was tight. I think her exact words were "How old are you?", not my proudest moment but I quickly spouted off with "It's tight that you feel that way." That'll teach her
