Mike James shooting since the first 2 games: 22-76 for 28.94% from the field.

The funny thing is Rafer is actually better over the same stretch, at 19/61 and 31.14%. Certainly both are bad, but it is amusing that Rafer is the only one who has pages of threads dedicated to his shooting woes.

It's not hard to explain when you consider Rafer's body of work. Mike James is at least a career 43% shooter and I therefore expect him to recover significantly. Rafer? Not so much.

Actually its a shot that hits the rim or backboard with unusual force a no chance of going in. Like throwing a brick at the rim.

"No change of going in" Ohhh well that sounds just like Rafer's shot. I think we have a winner as for as definitions go.

Posting daily that Rafer is not a good shooter is hardly a news flash, but then again his role isn't supposed to be a primary scorer like James. I just find it amusing to blame losses on Rafer's shooting when outside of the first two games, James has been worse.

Well, I don't personally post daily about Rafer's shooting inability. I made that clear at the start of this thread. However, an argument can easily be made that Rafer is missing wide open shots whereas James is missing more contested shots. For one, defenses are likely to close on James' shots a heck of a lot harder.

It's not that I'm defending Mike or think he's immune to the same ridicule as Rafer, but I just don't think he deserves it yet. Rafer has earned it over the long haul.

Im okay with Rafer at starting PG. he just shouldn't shoot. He can control the game and get the ball to yao, but he can't shoot

Rafer "Skip to my Lou but don't Shoot" Alston

Starting tonight we should start counting the number of bricks Alston shoots in each game, and start building a brick wall, adding one brick for each terrible shot. Soon enough, we could have our own great wall of Rafer.

I'm sorry but I don't even have photoshop. As for using the font on my picture, I just created the lettering through that site.

Actually shane isnt that bad to watch because most of the time he plays "casper", and disappears..

Sometimes I forget shane is even playing until I look at the box score

I didn't know they had "intangibles" category in the box score.
