I'm not a Rafer hater - I wish the best for all the Rox...but damn, if it's broken (and it is) then PLEASE try to fix it! RA - Please stop with the doghouse thing. The whole reason I bought season tickets was because we signed Franchise. WE WANT STEVE! If he sucks then no loss - we're losing anyway, but if he turns into Bonzi II then you'll look like a genius. Please give him a shot! 1) He wants to be here - he settled for less money 2) This is his home 3) He's matured 4) No one could shoot worse than Alson has the last couple of games IMO, the absolute worse thing that could happen is that we find out is that Stevie doesn't have it anymore, and if that happens than so what - I'll eat crow - it won't be the first time, probably won't be the last, but I can't see him doing any worse than Rafer.
Is Rafer the worst starting point guard in the league? I know people on this board earlier compared him to Rex Grossman, but didn't Rex actually win a few games for the Bears and lead them to Super Bowl. Unlike Rex, Rafer has absolutely no upside...he would be decent if he didn't start, but he is a main stay and seems like he's an untouchable.
No Rex was one of the worst passers in the NFL and he was absolutely inept at running the Bears offense. The Bears won despite having Grossman. They won with defense more or less. When they met the Colts they were outmanned, outgunned and out defensed. Let me put it to you this way. They were totally exposed at the quarterback position

that's correct. if you don't shoot when you are open, you are damn out of your mind unless YAO is open for a dunk! Being unable to hit the open shots and still stays on court is the fault of the COACH, don't blame it all on player, thanks.

Then, they dropped back to reality. But, the Bears were awesome in first 8 weeks of season. And if they did have franchise QB, like a Manning, Brady, Favre, Palmer, they would've went undefeated. Could you imagine the Peyton or Brady playing behind the Bears defense from last year every game would be like 40 - 10.
Without T-Mac I doubt Francis sees the court until after Dec 15 when he is traded. I'd guess Bonzi will start and Snyder gets the backup minutes. Rafer stays as they wouldn't want to make wholesale changes to limit the disruption to chemistry.
I've always been a Skip supporter, but Clutch's images and that "Where Bricks Happen" shot are pure gold.
Not to state the obvious, but local fans can vote with their dollars. Simply stop attending games until a change is made at the point. I seriously doubt that Alexander is sweating a few rant threads at CF. Empty seats are far more likely to get his attention.
So, you're going to support letting someone who showed up to camp fat over guys who worked their arses off in the summer? Brilliant. None here have any sense at all about whether Steve is grasping anything about the new offense. As tough as it apparently is for the players who are on the floor to adjust, and given Steve's history... do you really think he's adjusting quicker? I say let him get into shape and prove to the coach he is 'getting' the offense first.
Assuming you're referring to Francis, I didn't even mention him. Wanting to see Rafer out of the starting line up is not the same thing as wanting to replace him with Steve.
Last time Battier had two bad games he followed it up with two stellar ones. His shot will end up dropping. It seems like both him and Rafer are lunging when they shoot their threes and they are always ending up long. The only person that shoots well while lunging is Head. Get set guys, then take the shot. Or pass it and find someone who is.
