This year! This year! NLCS 2005 was awesome but, what have they done for us lately? This is not a playoff bound team. It has more holes than swiss cheese.
Come to think of it, they really didnt matter because when we played the ChiSux , we could not get a key hit with RISP or move runners with situational hitting. Hmmm, I've heard that line before oh yes pretty much all this year. Pup, played us. He told us that we would be better based upon the experience of previous playoff years. Are we better? Not even close. We still have no one in the lineup other than Lance who can deliver key hits and drive in runs consistently. Not to delineate the accomplishment with winning the pennant last year but, to get swept is not a great experience and we arent even going to get a chance to redeem ourselves because, our hitting is pathetic. Surprise, Lane and Mo' major disappointment for the WS. Ditto for most of the season again. But, Tim said we would be better. I rest my case.
All I know is this, if Purpura blunders another offseason, then his ass should be gone. No questions asked. I will demand his head on a silver platter.
