Agreed, particularly with respect to expectation. They got mowed down in 1997 against the Braves, but everyone knew that was coming. But in 1998, we looked like the best team in baseball heading into the playoffs. Someone posted an article in the Astros forum not too long ago about that team ranking statistically as the best offensive team in the last 25 years or so.
Right, while playing half their games at the Dome. Picture them at Minute Maid. Playoffs, they proceeded to score 1 run 3x in 4 games... smh. Very Buffalo-esk.
