If the Warriors trade holds up, that just proves one thing: WE turned down the deal. No way the Golden State package is better than ours. Perhaps Amare is not as highly valued as many people think.

A package of Nash and JRich wouldnt be a bad haul for McGrady and Brooks.

    Nash/Lowry
    Jrich/Barry/(Wafer/Chase/Taylor)
    Artest/Battier
    Scola/Landry/Dorsey
    Yao/Hayes

Having a legit shooting guard might actually do this team some good.

What part of Nash is a 35 PG who can't play defense does Rockets fans not understand?

Unless we want to be torched by the other 29 starting PG's in the league, don't trade for Nash.

I don't particularily want Nash either, I think Brooks could be better as soon as 2010, but for 2009 Nash/Jrich > Brooks/McGrady. We might as well play all our cards with Yao now, because if he breaks down again this year, I think we will see some major changes in the future.

A good proposal but the Rockets must get bigger. This proposal does not answer that problem.

Lance zerlein just said that the deal might have feel through because Stoudemire didn't want to come to houston.

Simply tell Suns management he dont want to come here. And if its true that he didnt want to come here, then let him be. It would obviously cause chemistry problems if he did come.

was he talking out of his ass stating the obvious possibility, or did he have some basis for saying this?

Maybe the deal depended on him signing an extension with the Rockets.

Maybe he cares about stats over winning.

IF (and it seems that way) the deal is dead (if there was a deal)

I can see this being the main reason. I think i remember Amare wasnt too happy with Shaq there but it did help his scoring big time last season but this past season I think it hurt when Shaq was more incorporated into the offense.

I can see Amare not wanting to be option B in an offense where scoring is predicated on sharing the ball.

I dont think its necessarily about stats but the glory/hype he gets from being the primary option that Amare craves. He wont being able to get that without scoring 25ppg.

oh well time to move on see what can be done to improve this team elsewhere

EDIT: Oh and I am fine with him going to GSW..its not like they are going to do anything next year anyway I just dont want to see him go to a possible contending team

Well GSW is now saying they are not trading Curry, he's picked a Jersey number and everything. Said they picked him to play there.

So maybe the Rockets are back in business?

I'm watching SC right now, and it sounds like its certain that Amare is going to the Warriors. They're saying that Steph Curry was drafted for the Suns and I really think it'll happen.
