Well we made the trade because JVG was our coach and Battier is his type of guy. Rick Adelman is a different coach and I don't think Battier is his type of guy. Gay is much more of a scorer than Battier. JVG- Defensive minded coach. RA- Offensive minded coach. Thats just my opinion.

Btw, after that Gasol trade, I don't underestimate Memphis' decision making or lack thereof. It just doesn't seem like the Rockets can pull off one of those deals.

Why does everyone keep saying TMacs contract is too big to trade. Yea it makes it harder to matchup but if a team could it is VERY attractive because it is completely insured. Which means the team getting him pays NOTHING until he plays.

 

I don't think the Rockets should blow it up or trade away important players for nothing, but you think we can bring back the exact same team next year and we will actually get past the Lakers? We seem to still have the same injury problems so far i.e. Yao's foot problems and McGrady just plain being out. Even Daryl Morey said the team needed to upgrade.

Just my opinion, but they have to do something that actually improves the team. Not just a trade to make a trade i.e. Dallas with Kidd Jason or Phoenix with Shaq.
