that deal makes zero sense for phx since they are trying to cut salary.

We get our starting PF with Amare and Richardson is still a good replacement for Tracy as a wingman.

Suns like T-Mac alot and they still get a quality starting PF Scola plus Lowry is good true back to Nash.

Morey would have to another trade involving someone for a good backup PG.

i actually think these separate reports regarding an offer of battier and brooks to sacramento/memphis for their respective high lottos deserves a new thread. that's major news and where there is smoke, there is probably fire.

I think the selling point to Nash for a trade like that is that in a year the Suns can be a major FA player -- and a team like Phoenix can win FA wars thanks to the climate. So they'd be hoping the lure of that would be enough to get his name on an extension.That said, the Hou-Phx deal is such a blockbuster that you'd have to bet against it, simply because with so many parts involved (not just players, but health issues and opt-outs and what not), it's bound to break down somewhere.

 

Wow so much for someone saying Battier was untouchable, which I don't know why they would think that anyway.
