In a heartbeat but Kevin Martin will not be traded AT ALL. He makes $1.8 million and contributes.
He might be moved at the deadline if they can't resign him before then because he is a FA after this season.

Steve Kerr is their G.M so who knows. Plus I think Golden State would jump all over this. This is a weak draft really so who would possibly be there that Golden State really needs.

This is a better offer than what the Rockets are giving up.

I know one thing....I hate this anticipatory waiting. I feel like I'm on a date with a virgin. I'll be pissed if nothing good comes of all of this talk....

From what I've read. Amare & Barbosa for Tmac, Brooks, & Landry is ON THE TABLE. Apparently Morey is the one who is reluctant for whatever reason! Presumably to find a way to keep Brooks out of the deal... Here is the blurb.

Columnist Peter Vescey's NBA sources indicate the Rockets are "leaning toward" trading Tracy McGrady, Carl Landry and Aaron Brooks to the Suns for Leandro Barbosa and Amare Stoudemire.

Stoudemire has been disgruntled in Phoenix for a while now, and ESPN's Ric Bucher reported on Thursday that he will indeed be traded. The Suns would acquire two solid young players in Landry and Brooks, while gaining financial flexibility with T-Mac's expiring $22 million contract. So far nothing is official, but stay tuned throughout what promises to be a hectic draft day

Can someone enlighten me as to why Phoenix would do this trade again? Amare is almost certain to exercise his option next year, so Tmac's expiring contract won't be saving them much money there. It'd be better just to keep Amare, as he'd certainly have better value than Tmac in terms of a sign-and-trade.

Brooks and Landry are nice, but they're not Barbosa/Amare nice. And Tmac's expiring is just not as valuable as Amare's.

If Brooks is traded, this clearly means we're going to acquire a veteran PG to start.

    So basically,

    OUT: T-Mac, Brooks, Landry
    IN: Stoudamire, Barbosa, Mike Bibby?

I would understand the trade. But... I'm not a big Amare guy. He's the anti-Battier, the all-stats no-star. His numbers are exaggerated because of his team's pace. He's horrible defensively, and it's something our team emphasizes.

    My bad.
He is already done his deal until 2013 which it wil cost them almost $13M for that season.
They still are not unloading him this early in his deal and at that age for $8M value.
His 2009 salary will actually be 10.1

My guess would be because Amare doesn't want to be there, so they don't want to take the chance of losing him for nothing. And since he has the option to walk after next year no matter where he goes, it's not like they have the upper hand as far as just sending him to whatever team for the best deal. No team will give up key pieces unless they think they can resign him. And it's not as if Amare can't opt out and still get maxed out by someone in 2010. After LeBron and Wade he is probably the next best target...either him or Bosh. He will get paid regardless....

I'm just saying this could possibly be why Phoenix would deal with us. I wouldn't be surprised if they could land a better deal though.

This flies in the face of PHX's house cleaning strategy. Biedrins is in the middle of a 6 yr, $60 million deal. Hope it doesn't go down.

Well if the Suns don't care about taking long term money back then I'm sure a lot of teams could trump our offer. Our package only makes sense if they are going the cheapo route.

What other quality vet guards are available, besides Bibby?
