If we do this Amare trade, then...

Would the Clippers do this trade:
Cook/Hayes/Dorsey for Camby (all players are expiring contracts)

Clippers keep expiring contracts and get younger. (we might have to throw in a draft pick to sweeten the deal)

    Our lineup after both trades:
    Lowry/FA/Barbosa
    Battier/Barbosa/Barry
    Artest/Wafer
    Amare/Scola
    Yao/Camby
Sign a vet to a small contract to slpit the backup PG minutes with Barbosa (not a true PG, but can score like Brooks).

    What do you guys think?

That is true. I've got a family member who is a scientist "he takes care of certain articles on Wikipedia regarding his work", and he will undo any changes to his work THAT day. And you can always report people who are making incorrect changes.

But that isn't to say that all these different sites have such dedicated people.

Something that people might forget, AB and Landry are not young anymore.
AB are 24, Carl Landry are 25. All their physical conditions are at the peak of their careers. Most importantly, they are all undersized.

RA played AB so much during the playoff and made him to a very valuable trade bait. But AB is not a PG material for sure, he is an undersized SG.

One thing to mention, Amare is only 26, he can play PF/C, which can be a great value to the team and give Yao a lot of minutes to rest. He can also play a upper-tempo style with a smaller lineup which AD likes to play.

Same thing to Barbosa, he is only 26 too and was the sixth player once. His scoring ability and quickness are equivalent to AB, but with a much bigger size. He can play PG/SG and it is same as AB

Kyle Lowry has played 3 seasons and he is only 23. To me, Kyle has more future and potential.

The only thing worries me is that I heard Amare and Barbosa are not easy to coach.

Other than that, I will be glad if we get this deal.

Isn't Camby's contract expiring too? This doesn't make sense.

Reports are out there that this trade might go down. They said Rockets are leaning towards trading McGrady, Brooks, Landry for him and Barbosa it just may happen tonight

Landry can't play the 3 effectively, he's not quick enough laterally....and what makes you think he doesnt want to go to Phoenix where he'll probably get 30 mins a night? That's the only way he'll get a fat contract next time. It's the best career move for him, plus he'd be likely playing with nash, who's going to raise his play some as well.

i dont see this happening until after tonight, so we shouldn't expect any confirmation during the day.....houston is probably hoping to snatch lawson or another point, maybe even mills, in the draft and if they do it's a lot easier to pull the trigger on this trade and lose brooks.

You're crazy. Brooks is a good scorer, but too small to play D on most of the bigger PG in this league. I'd trade Brooks, not really a big issue.

Almost fair enough. He's improving, and I'd say it's more like once every two games. :)

Anyway, I'll try to get behind this if it happens. I was a big barbosa fan several years ago. Worry about Amare's wear and tear and attitude, but I'll say this: Brooks and Landry are not the answers to getting us to the next level. They are solid, but they're probably not headed for all-star appearances.

It AMAZES me that people are not up for Babosa.
Rocket fans need to get over there love for Brooks.
He is a nice, small, shoot first PG who has or is peaking right now. What is going to grow about his game?? TELL ME.

Barbosa is a taller, better driver, better shooter, better defender with more experience and would come from a team used to winning to boot.

Brooks is younger, quicker(not much though),and cheaper(for now) than Barbosa.
    THAT IS ALL.

I keep hearing people say "I am not keen on Barbosa"
WOULD ONE OF YOU PLEASE SAY WHY? JUST ONE!

I like Brooks, but you are seeing this with Rocket Red Blinders on if you think Brooks is in anyway better than Barbosa.
It can't be his numbers because 47% from the floor doesn't lie.
I will give you he played in a more up tempo style and is not a true PG,but true PG in the NBA means SQUAT.

He is a guard who can attack the rim and MORE than hit the open 3 on kick outs from the post. He only averages 1.5 turnovers a game for career.
No NBA teams press unless they are desperate late unlike college, so what do you need a true PG for. The Lakers just won the title without a TRUE PG. Fisher is not a true PG.

this trade is kinda similar to another rockets/suns trade

    Sam, Horry - Barkley
    Aaron, Carl - Amare
