Yao wouldn't mind playing second-fiddle at all. In fact I think he would rather be the 2nd guy. Only problem I see is Amare is not a leader, but Battier can be the vocal leader.

Hopefully it motivates him even more. Plus being in trade rumors isn't all that bad it shows that other teams want you. It's not like Houston doesn't like him but his value is high right now.

This coming from a team that features Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, and Ron Artest?

yes sterling wants to cut salary but

he would give up salary too in trading for Yao

plus you forget all the money he would making in LA from the chinese community and china itself with all of the marketing with LA.

i dont think the rockets do it but i wouldnt rule out sterling saying no to yao

Amare might get more Blocks then Scola, but in no way does that mean hes a better Defender.

Stoudamire notoriously takes plays off on defense and is generally uninterested in playing it.

Of course, the Rockets are giving away an all world defender in Tracy McGrady, and don't forget defensive stalwarts Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry.

In all seriousness those 3 players are probably the worst defenders on the team.

Even a 2 year old could see that other teams want his contract and nothing else.

They are not Shane or Ron or Chuck, but they are still world's better than Amare and Barbos-oley!

Brooks and Landry had both made strides, and Landry at least could block shots.

I can't comment on Landry vs Amare, but I don't think it is possible for Brooks to be significantly better at defense than any PG.

Agreed. The H-town sign is "chucking up the deuce" as I recall. Maybe Amare was cheering on the Horns against LSU yesterday.

Spot on! we need a PF/C like Chandler as Clutch suggested early on.

But again I doubt Morey is only obsessed with Amare's so call "numbers".

    T Mac, Landry, and Brooks

    For

Amare, Barbosa, and Suns 1st this year.

I'd do that. I wouldn't give up both Landry and Brooks without getting the Suns 1st rounder this year though.

Depends. I love AB and Carl, but I can't deny that Amare and Barbosa are better.

    So...

    Lowry/ Barbosa
    Artest?/ Wafer?/ Barry
    Battier/ White
    Stat/ Scola/ Hayes
    Yao/ Dorsey

It leaves us a little thin off the bench, but more importantly, if this move is a way of limiting Yao's minutes and games we're woefully short at the PF.

    Lowry/ Barbosa
    Artest? / Wafer?/ Barry
    Battier/ White
    Scola/ Hayes
    Stat/ dorsey

Umm what does that have to do with H-Town? Also after reading his twitter page I'm convinced I don't want him on our team.

Not at all. I'm in the boat with the people that think letting AB go is a mistake.

If it were McGrady and Landry, I'm all for it. Brooks... not so much.

I'd hate to see Landry goes, but if it means getting an all-star in Stoudamire, then I'm all for it.
