i've got to say, i wonder if some of you guys watch ball outside of the rockets, there's no way we have a chance at granger..he's their franchise player and finished in the top 10 of scoring and is an improving defender with great efficiency..to get granger, we'd have to give up yao..and that's something we wouldn't do.

Not to mention take on a bunch of trash contracts to match the salaries up. It wouldn't even be worth it in the long run.

Suns would take Rubio. That'd def. make a trade with them unlikely.

I would not give up both Battier and Scola because they dictate the culture in the locker room. They are the main blue collar guys outside of Yao.

    that would be nasty man.

I just want us to be the next Boston Celtics championship run. trade all our non-star players and package them for whatever star we can get our hands on in salary dumps and sign a big bunch of cheap free agents to fill out the bench. people were worried when boston traded for kg and ray allen that there would be no bench and a really thin lineup......however man they got posey, house, davis, and a bunch of other guys all through FA and draft and look at the green parade in 07-08!!!

    nash
    artest
    battier
    amare
    yao!!!

    insane.

presumably we trade battier to complete the package for nash and amare since tmac and brooks may not be enough alone...and we get richardson back in return...

    nash
    richardson
    artest
    amare
    yao

    bench:

    lowry
    thornton(low first rounder)
SF FA (szcerbiak) for 3 mil per year
    hayes
    dorsey

Agreed, Amare would be a huge addition to that team.

I cosgin that. Guess I just didn't think they could land Amare with that pick is all. If it's for him then it makes sense.

As I have posted many times. This team does not need another PF.

Rockets need a playmaking PG, a quality shooting guard or small forward and a backup Center! Amare would not fit the Rocket's game plan.

If they trade Landry to move up in the draft, they do.

Wish you could still say so when Yao's end of season due to injury again.
A backup Center?Gortat? Noooo, they won't make us win championship while Yao injured again.

All that Amare talk was pretty much a rumor itself. And thats what happens to the majority of rumors, they usually stay as rumors.

I will not read through this all of this thread, but I have to say this....

Obviously, the deal that would be in effect would include McGrady (if you didn't get the hint, notice that he is in the Number 1 Jersey). I would guess that it would also include Brooks.

My thoughts are that there is a deal in place (Amare + Filler for TMac and Brooks). The deal will only happen IF and only IF the Suns don't pull the trigger and get the number 3 pick (unlikely in my opinion), and IF the Rockets can get a deal in place that would involve Landry for a decent pick. That pick would have to be a point guard. That point guard would have to be one of two or three that we would be targeting.

So, in my opinion, IF those things happen, then here we go:

TMac and Aaron Brooks go from Houston to Phoenix

Amare and Barbosa to the Rockets

I think we can get a deal done for Landry and a future first rounder to Golden State for the number 7 pick.

I think these two trades happen if and only IF one of the following are left at number 7:

    Ricky Rubio (doubtful)
Jonny Flynn ( could happen, in my opinion, if he gets past Sacramento)
Stephen Curry (I can't tell if Morey would like him or not...I think he will most likely bust)
    Tyreke Evans

in that order. I think one of those people will be there.

If this scenario happens, I would not be too disappointed.

    Yao
    Amare
    Battier
    Artest
    Rookie PG

Yes, but I thought Clutch's information might be special, or is exceptional case.

As much as I love this deal, I dont think any big trade happens. As for your PGs, Rubio will be gone top 4 max, Johnny Flynn is probably top 6, Stephen Curry may be there, and Tyreke Evans may be gone(some say as early as 2 to memphis or if memphis trades down with Minny for example, they may take him then). I dont think GS bites on an offer for Landry when they have some guys there and even still if they want a F, they can get Jordan Hill who will in all likelihood be there still.

A lot are hoping the same way you are hoping. The real score is still unknown and sad to say it will/still be a rumor probably for a long time.
