The impact of Amare playing along side Yao is that teams cannot sandwich Yao. If they do that, Amare is going to have a field day stuffing turkeys.

Maybe we'll get Amare tomorrow. Don't think anything's going to happen today. -_-

Great move let's add another player that has a string of bad luck injuries.

If Shaq is moved, I just have a hard time believe Phoenix will move any more pieces unless they are desperate/are in that bad of financial situation.

true and let's not forget Yao is going to have to constantly cover for Amare defensive mistakes.

I rather trade Yao for Blake Griffin.

ESPN states that the pacers are looking to get rid of tj ford or jarrett jack to make room for a PG in the draft.
they get an expiring contract in tmac who could put up granger like numbers if he stays healthy, if not they can freely look for two markey players in the big 2010 nba free agency. and everyone has to know about the whole tinsley drama? we could just waive him and maybe someone like the Bobcats will pick him up?

I would love to have Granger, if you can get it done then you would be my hero.

A trade of TMac and Landry for Amare and JRich, done prior to July 1st, gets Phoenix under the luxury tax threshold for this past season. As such, Phoenix saves $5.5 million right now in luxury tax payments, at the cost to Les of $5.5 million in luxury tax payments. But imagine the following 8 man rotation we would get out of this:

    Brooks
    Lowry
    JRich
    Artest
    Battier
    Amare
    Scola
    Yao

You're probably gonna have to throw in Brooks or a future 1st.

If Shaq is moved for Wallace + Pavlovic with Pavlovic waived. The Suns would still need to cut over $4.12M (14th pick included) to get under LT for next season.

Trading Amare + Nash for McGrady + Brooks achieves that goal. It saves the Suns $5.9M which also happens to be around the same amount the Rockets will be under LT themselves.

I think Detroit could do better but thats just me. I would take those guys so fast and throw them under Daryl's house never to be seen until training camp day if that deal went through.

I dont think so because jason richardson's contract is really bad.

I love jason richardson as an SG though.

hes not worth 12 million hes paid

I can't see Artest being re-signed in the event that Richardson is included in the deal (as opposed to Barbosa). I'm not sure Les Alexander is willing to pay the tax for the upgrade of Richardson over Barbosa, despite his comments claiming the contrary.

Phoenix would want Brooks in any deal.

Totally agree, as long as the only guys we are dealing are T-mac, Cook, White, Dorsey, Landry, and unfortunately Brooks too then I think we will be Championship bound.

    Nash
    Amare
    Yao
    Battier
    Artest

Are you freaking kidding me, that would be a sick starting team. Just not getting my hopes up though.

Thanks for the clear-up. I still dont see them moving Nash. Probably Richardson or Barbosa. If this happens, hopefully Im wrong and Nash is included.

Also what alot of people don't think about is you will have Steve Nash teaching Lowry how to be an assist king and 3 point threat. A move like this would do so much good for this team none of us have any idea.
