It'll be interesting to see how the Chinese/Yao only fans react if this does happen. They hate this guy for winning rookie of the year over Yao, so I imagine they would lose their minds of he ends up on the same team with him.

Theyre obviously giving up another piece if the trade does indeed happen. A Barbosa or Richardson wouldnt be too bad.

    My wording was kinda weird.

A SnT, involves one player for one player. You cant do a 2 for 1. Ron would have to make Amare money. Not likely.

There is a whole lot of Amare hate on this site to be honest. I don't think it's all from YOF.

I'm thinking Richardson, since A) we would need a SG, and B) he is considered a "bad" contract at that price. Phoenix would most likely want us to to give them financial freedom, and taking Richardson gives that to them.

    Makes Houston pretty athletic though.

They didn't struggle against AB. Blake really isn't a great scorer/shooter and Fisher was off in general until the Finals. Brooks wasn't stopping either of those players. That's like saying if I get a wide open jumper and miss...then you stopped me.

What will be do with Amare, Scola, and Landry? I understand he is a great efficient player but I'm guessing that means Landry is gone.

Also, it'll be highly ironic if the trade happens and Tmac ends up on the same team as Grant Hill again...except now he's the injured one and Hill isn't playing too bad.

This would be robbery for the Rockets. Nooooo way would Steve Kerr agree to this. This would be Heaven for the Rockets.

Landry for a pick that would help shore up the back court or a trade that would net a pg. He is the most valuable asset to trade and get a player to fill in the gap Brooks vacated.

Landry, according to ESPN and the interview from this morning is being shopped for a draft pick, which is said if a trade did happen and we aquired a pick, we'd take a PG making Brooks or Lowry expendable. Who has more trade value? Brooks. And about T-Mac, yeah that'd be ironic but I heard Phoenix's medical staff is one of the best in the NBA. ;)

I don't see a sign and trade happening with Phoenix, but this is not true at all.

    For one example, see http://www.nba.com/bulls/news/curry_traded_051004.html

If you are still insistent, please find the CBA text which says so.

    CBA is available here: http://www.nbpa.com/cba_articles.php

I would argue that he would be the most polarizing blockbuster acquisition in Rockets history. I don't remember even this much skepticism towards the Barkley trade.

I myself would have a bad feeling in my gut about this were it not for the fact that Morey is pulling the strings. People do not like Amare Stoudemire.

BTW I don't think it would be smart to trade Battier away without securing the SF potion. Artest isn't resigned and Battier has been our best defender in years. Tucker is a scorer. SO so defender. If we have another solid defender then yeah by all means you do this trade. If its possible trade Tucker to the Pistons for Aaron Afflalo if the Pistons are willing to part ways which I doubt :D

"I never played with a Shaq"...
"oh wait, I can't use that excuse anymore.."

    :p

Shaq + Grant Hil + Tmac

all they need to do is sign Penny Hardaway

This is quickly becoming my biggest pet peeve on this board (and that's saying a lot).

These players that are being discussed as trade possibilities for the Rockets are, in the vast number of cases, available because of financial considerations facing their respective teams. Now ask yourself what motivation one of these teams would have in adding a re-signed Ron Artest to its payroll.

Some people felt the same way about Ron Artest, and how he'd poison the chemistry. Didn't happen.

I think if you get Amare, you may have to let Ron Ron go at the risk of a chemistry explosion (unless you're really confident in the "new" Ron Artest). I think surrounding Amare with Yao and Battier on the frontline would be a nice calming influence. Though I would miss Ron's quotes. :(

I do not think Amare can ever be a good passer as Webber.
