No nonsense phone calls are pure win!

 

Hours at a time at first, sick of talking to them years later.

 

When my brother was living in Manhattan we'd talk for hours on weekends as I never got to see him much. With the GF, it never lasts beyond 10 minutes. I hate phone convo's with her. I get enough of the gossip when we're face to face.

Texting ftw.

 

On average, less than a minute.

 

At first, hours upon hours.

Now, less than 30 minutes. Sometimes, over an hour if she has a lot on her mind.

 

1-30 minutes, thank God.

I'm fine with texts, e-mail, face to face, whatever else, but I cannot stand phone conversations. Reason being, phones are just a nuisance if you don't truly have anything to say. Just sitting there trying to fill the uncomfortable silence is the biggest f***ing annoyance. I'm so envious of my friend because his girlfriend understands this concept. He'll answer the phone and say "I'm at ____'s house just hanging out, how about you?" and a couple of seconds later he'll say "alright, I love you too. Bye".

I wish I had it that easy, but no matter how many damn times I tell my girlfriend I hate talking on the phone, she regularly calls me to talk about absolutely nothing at all.

I hate talking on the phone, she knows that. So we just talk for like 30 mins or something.

Talking for 2 hours is for high school kids with no life.

I figured I should follow up by saying that it's not just phone conversations with my GF that I can't stand. It's anybody and everybody, including my family or best friends that I've known since middle school. So it's nothing against any particular person, and in fact, I enjoy being around and hanging out with all of them. I just don't want to talk to them on the phone for more than a few minutes at a time.

 

If you're spending 2+ hours on the phone you might as well meet up in person and get more stuff done . Only way I can justify spending 2+ hours on the phone is if it's a long distance relationship.

 

Im in college so the only time I talk to my girl on the phone is to organize when we're gonna see each other next.

 

When we first started dating, we talked on the phone for hours. Now that we've been together for 9 years and our married, ten minutes or less...

 

Where's the option for less than a minute?

 

Same here. I would prefer under 5 minutes in general. No one needs to talk on the phone for more than that IMO. I don't care if it's heads of states.

 

I hate phone convos. I can probably have a lengthy convo with about 3 girls I know. Otherwise I'd rather hit them up on an IM. Most others just get a text.
