Hopefully Stone remembers his hits between 14-20 and keeps the PHX pick over the late firsts. Sengun, Tari, and Whitmore >>>> Usman,Tai Tai, and JGup
He won't trade a good pick for two bad ones. He'll trade the pick if there's obvious leverage, high potential, or a good value
True, unless he picks up a FRP in 2026 or later. Stone is pushing the FRP surplus as far out as possible in event Suns crater + eventually break up their core of stars. Stone has tunnel vision for Suns players + only Suns players it appears. 2025 FRP is not getting development minutes unless a consolidation trade occurs, this roster is already packed to the brim + even if roster spots for Jock, Jeff, Aaron + Zeller cleared out. Ime depends on 8-9 man rotation which shrinks further in playoffs.
A reminder that the Suns play the Grizz tonight on TNT. While I never want to see Memphis win, I’ll be rooting for them tonight. Then the rockets deal them their 3rd L in a row tomorrow!
I stayed up late here on the East Coast to watch the Suns lose tonight. Tomorrow's night's game against the Suns might be one of the biggest games of the last several years. Rockets are reeling and I fear they lose their way into a play-in situation. OTOH, Phoenix is desperate to stay in contention and make the playoffs. Another loss for either team could be really tough for their season's hopes. Tomorrow night could be the difference between the Rockets making the playoffs AND getting a lottery pick, or missing the playoffs and not getting a lottery pick. Ime quit playing Reed when the in-season tournament came around, I wouldn't be surprised if he passed on him tomorrow for Holiday and Tate.
Care to put your money where your mouth is? The Suns have a much worse record than us AND and much harder SOS.
I can see him stretching the pick to later years if they dont get a top 10 pick. But we are full on roster spots I dont think Stone will trade down for value unless it comes with picks in future years.
I already offered a bet against the dude who keeps saying Rox will get 8th seed next year due to standing pat at the deadline. Obv that dude just kept silent lmao.
No they won't. They have the hardest schedule in the league post all star break. Also their roster is in shambles, only KD and Booker are serviceable. The rest of the team is a bunch of bums + injured bradley beal.
Phoenix probably won't make the play-in. They have a monsterously hard schedule the rest of the way and GS and Sac are moving up and much more likely to surpass us. We will get FVV and Jabari back after ASB and our schedule is 6th easiest in the league the rest of the way. Seed 2 was always a pipe dream as I said mulitple times. We played an easy schedule in '24 and lucked out to face good teams with their best players out. Ime sh*tted away about 5 games against crap teams with his horrible rotations. Worst we will drop is 7 or 8, but I think we maintain 6. Of course, any or all of this can change depending on critical injuries to any of the teams we are competing with or ourselves.
This is exactly correct, although he wanted to trade our pick last year and couldn't find a buyer. This is a better draft, so he might find a taker.
All I gathered from this is the Suns need to keep losing and the Sixers need to start winning. If OKC gets another top 4 pick we are talking about a dynasty soon. *correction: the Sixers pick is top 6 protected
Not sure if Stone wanted to trade the pick cuz I think the entire FO fell in love with Sheppard and believed he would be the next Steph Curry.
Sixers are gonna lose enough to be top 10 but win enough the picks convey to OKC. Morey really ****ed up the situation in Philly people kept saying Eli Wheatus is the power behind the throne but I think thats the Morey situation cuz the dude has been straight up incompetent besides hitting on both Maxey and Mcain.
