Just remember, Portland has an incentive to tank, which is why they sat 4 starters. They do not want to finish with a better record than the Suns. They want to maximize their draft pick odds like every other team out of the play-in. They won’t win again this season. Best we can hope for is finishing tied for #9
Suns will definitely lose to the Kings, I’m worried about that Spurs. But the Spurs beat the Warriors tonight. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if the Suns rest Booker instead of playing him in meaningless games
With San Antonio beating GSW tonight that knocked a game off between Portland / Phoenix and them. Next game SA plays PHX and hopefully they beat them again. That makes a 1 game difference. Long story short, if SA wins the next two games (which is plausible considering the competition) and PHX and Portland lose the next 2 (also plausible) there would be a 3 way tie for the 8th pick. Best case scenario.
Portland could have easily won with Simons vs Utah. OKC has finally eliminated PHX from the play- in/ playoffs. I'm annoyed right now with the Blazers.
So PHX brought in Budenholzer to replace Vogel because Vogel lost in the 1st Rnd last year. Budenholzer can't even get to the play-in. With everything going on with coach firings, it's not looking good for Budenholzer.
and he’s only into his 1st year of a 5-yr $50 mil contract. lol. I guess Ishbia really doesn’t care about money.
Budenholzer is gone. He clashes with Booker and the whole team plays no D. Ishbia will want someone to blame other than himself for why they suck so bad. James Jones at this point is just a puppet for Ishbia so he is not going to fire him. I doubt any decision made since Ishbia bought the team wasn't at the behest of Ishbia.
The Jazz lineup tonight is probably better than what the Lakers will throw out there if they've locked up the 3 seed.
In the end Lottery is still game of chances also Portland is not looking for a Center so I don’t think it will matter to us they go before us or not
The NBA should allow temporary coaches like they do with players on short contracts. A tanking job could be done by anyone.
not really, you have to do a lot of prep. You also need to not be obvious about it unless you wanna end up like Hinkie. The best tank jobs are ones like the Rox where a lot of posters here dont realize we were intentionally being bad. A bad tank job is what the Nets did when they were better than expected till the trade deadline and won a lot of meaningless games.
If he keeps bobbling the ball why does he average less than 1 TO a game? Also has a sky high TS 73% so he finishes at an elite level. Even shoots fts 77% which really good for a big man.
We currently have the 9th pick from the Suns based on the mock draft. And this is who they are projecting we will take:
