Richard Jefferson reported KD & Book are having issues. If that’s true, Someone is getting traded soon

The Good news: Flagg breaks ACC scoring record by a Freshman, 42pts.

    Bad news: PHX won today.

This Suns pick is going in the wrong direction. I only want to draft with this pick if it’s well into the lotto. Plenty of time for Phoenix to start losing though.

I still do not have a lot of faith in them to turn it around. The Atlanta win was actually pretty decent, but other than that I don't think they are playing well, and have not since the beginning of the season. Seeing this made me want to look up their remaining Strength of schedule and they have the 6th toughest (Rockets are 5th).

Beal was moved to the bench and had some decent games, Nurk went from a starter to having 0 minutes played, and they are relying on an almost 35 year old Plumlee as their starting center. Beal's replacement in the starting lineup scored 0 points against the Jazz. KD and Booker are playing more minutes than anyone on the court every night, and they needed to score 51% of the points to beat the Jazz and play 36 mins each.

They have hit an easy part of their schedule, by the end of January their schedule gets pretty brutal. I think they finish outside of the play in for 11th or 12th in the West.

It's a very unpopular opinion here, but I would trade this year's Phoenix swap and FVV for Durant. We would have him for the playoff run and he would be expiring next year. If we had to throw in Reed or Cam, I might do that as well. Durant played in 75 games last year. We could load balance him the rest of the year. It definitely would solve our closer problem and not substantially effect our ability to make a big trade in 27. Amen, Jalen, Durant, Jabari/Dillon, Sengun. Make another small move for Brogdon or the like for depth at guard position. If Durant stays healthy for the playoffs we would be contenders this year and next, without killing off our core or substantially impediing our flexibility in the future.

If all it took was a single pick, Fred and one of our weaker prospects, I'd consider that as well. I just think Phoenix will want a lot more, and I'm not ready to unload all of trade chips for a player at Durant's age.

You are probably right about the cost. That's all I would pay. Maybe both Reed and Cam and the pick. OKC might actually trump us with a bunch of picks (none of which would be as good) but I don't know how they would match the salary. FVV's expiring would be valuable to a tanking team. Durant is really only valuable to a contending team and not many have the trade chips.

Beating the Jazz at home ain't exactly much of an accomplishment. They have a pretty tough schedule between now and the All-Star Break, so we'll see how they do in those games.

2025 Suns draft swap pick cannot be traded until draft night after Rockets selection. Rockets would have to include different pick if they want Durant during the season. I would pass

I really hope they suck as we all do. I do think there are going to be more and more tanking teams and if they keep their mindset of not tanking they will move up in the standings, if Durant and Booker stay healthy.

KD is a cancer to winning at this point in his career.

Beal is the cancer for the Suns. Durant is playing his ass off, as usual. Harden and Irving screwed the Nets. The only risk of acquiring Durant at a smallish cost is injury. It's a gamble, I would take if it just meant one of the Phoenix picks and 1 future Rockets pick and a guy like Reed and/or Cam. I know I'm in the minority on this, but at that cost we would have at least this year as a contender and either be a contender next year or have an expiring contract to replenish assets or just let him walk for cap space. The risk really is not that high, because of all the talent we have already horded and we will have to consoidate before 27 no matter what. No other difference maker looks to be available. Booker's contract would tie our hands for 4 years and he is not as good a fit. Getting Ant or Giannis is a pipe dream in my opinion.

They are due for another injury later into the season when the grind sets in.

One game separates #16-12. The Suns currently sit at #14. San Antonio and Golden State projected to rise. I predict the Suns finish in the 12th spot.

its full on root against Phoenix time. And it’s fun.

yes, and if Philly doesn’t start winning, OKC is going to have a lotto pick after winning the West. I expect them to try and trade most of their picks for future picks.

You think Stone trades Suns 2025 lottery pick for 2 late OKC 2025 FRP + 2026 FRP? Stone does love his assets + trade flexibility even if he never does anything at trade deadline.
