yep the Spurs are officially going full tank. I doubt Fox needed to be shut down for the season, but it’s a clever way to tank. They weren’t gonna be bad enough with Fox playing games. San Antonio is one of the smartest organizations in basketball. They’ll have a legit chance at a top pick while already having Wemby, Fox and Castle to build around.
Reportedly Fox has been playing with this finger injury all year, could explain why his shooting fell off so hard. But yeah obvious tank job is obvious.
OKC does need a consolidation trade, but Durant really makes little sense for them. I see them using those picks to move up in the draft or simply push them into the future with a draft night trade. I think Durant ends up in Miami ... for a similar package to the return they got for Jimmy Butler. What else can they add to Durant to make them a real contender?
In my opinion they have to go and see what Topic brings to the table and they have 1-3 draft picks in a good draft this year as well. I see Wiggins as someone who is on the rise, dude has 30 and 40 point games. Guys like Dieng, Dillon Jones are not developed yet and might not yield returns now. And Kenrich Williams, Jaylin Williams are cheaper options that do not need much to be retained. On the fence with Isaiah Joe but he has been shooting better as of late. 39.6% from downtown. I would merely swap the 2 way contracts with rookies.
Chicago picked up a solid W last night. Here are some more big games for the tank wars tonight: San Antonio vs Charlotte Toronto vs Utah Phoenix vs Sacramento Miami vs Boston Sunday we have: Portland vs Toronto Phoenix vs LA Lakers
Called this a while back. No way Spurs weren’t going to tank with the 3 guys at the top of this draft. Phoenix has a tough schedule, but Dallas, SA, Portland are all going to out tank them. I think the Suns make the play-in.
Portland is not trying to tank. Was at the Knicks game here in Portland the other night which went into overtime. The Knicks were lucky to come out with a win. I bet Portland finishes better than Phoenix. Agreed on SA and Dallas. The pick probably ends up at #12.
Considering what we just saw from the Mavs and the fact they lost yet another player (Exum) for the season, it is now near-certain they will finish with a worse record than the Suns. I don't see why the Mavs would bother bringing back AD to play 9-10 games just to make a push for the 10th seed.
I guess we better resign ourselves for the 12th pick....which is honestly ridiculous cuz we have a top 5 seed in the West lmao.
Everyone can beat the Kings except for the Rockets apparently. Just pisses me off they couldn’t win not one game.
