They will be in the conversation for the finals come seasons end. I don't think they are better than Denver though. I think there is a significant gap there. Boston and Milwaukee would easily handle Phoenix too. Plus ultimately they will deal with injuries like LAC. Can't fix players who stay on the injury report.
The problem is they can probably score 150 points a game but they will give up 156 That may work in the regular season but When you are in the playoffs The Game is 119 to 120 with. 10 second left If they were down and had the ball . .. . . . . . . I would not bet against them If they were up without the ball . . . . . .. . . . . .. I would not bet on them Rocket River
The Suns were supposed to be a star heavy team but it's been a lot of "Durant and 4 random dudes" lately
The Beal acquisition is still a question mark. He and Booker are redundant. It's likely going to be your turn my turn kind of thing. And then Durant will say, "Give me the ball."
Sorry Eric, but while you may get to the playoffs with that philosophy, you are not going to get a ring that way. This exactly what I meant in an earlier post regarding top heavy teams that dont think they have to defend to win. Maybe in the regular season, sure. But this team has hardly played a game with all 3 of their stars. Not only wont they defend, but they are extremely injury prone.
Can everyone agree that at least right now, the Suns are not overrated? I'm not sure they ever were because their roster flaws were so glaringly obvious. My favorite non-Rockets game of the season remains Spurs/Suns when the Suns imploded, blew a 27-point lead and Wemby went off on their non-existent defense.
Teambuilding and Vogel, I do believe Vogel is overrated coach. Why do I feel when Durant is the best player, he wins individual accolades but never seems to have team success.....is that a coincidence.....when not on the stacked Worriers. Truly special player but somehow I do not like what is going on with him.
I bet he never thought the Rockets would have a better season than Phoenix this year. If the Rockets had Gordon instead of Green in the lineup they'd be at the top of the west. Come on home.
