I'd have to agree. The Spurs definitely had figured out how to play the Rockets as they sweep them 4-0 during the season. There was no evidence that had the Rockets squeaked into the 8 spot things would have been any different. Phoenix had beaten SA during the season so they knew what it took to win unlike the Rockets.

Phoenix poses a huge matchup problem for SA both in personnel and style of play. The same can't be said for Houston.

We beat them 3 times convincly and lost one by only a point. I felt that the suns is going down after the first two games against Spurs. It's not Sun is playing particular well, it is the Spurs sucked for the first two games. Sun is just a pick and roll team like van gundy said, it's amazing they've gone so far this year.

the scary one on that list is mcgrady.

i don't think people truly understand how gifted that young man is. he's probably 4 years away from ENTERING his prime, and already is a complete player.

he's capable of putting 40-50 points up in any game, plays good defense, passes well, and has a clean record. in fact, he is, imo, one of only 2 players in the league that are literally impossible to hold (the other being dirk).

do not be surprised if he singlehandedly carries the magic to the finals.

Intrestingly we had a shot at doing something similar if not more to the spurs had we gotten in. Me match-up very well against the Spurs and I was really looking forward to teaching them a few lessons but oh well................

Anyway one can also argue that we deserve to be in the payoffs in place of Phoenix on the strenght of our 3-1 season series victory. We could have made it 4-0 had we not dumbly and flukishly lost the first match. :p

if i'm not mistaken (which i know i'm not, so don't worry), we beat the spurs in the first game.

give us credit for our one win against them. there was no sweep this year.

A player's prime is not determined by age. I believe players have a certain amount of basketball in their bodies. Players that enter the league at a younger age will also wear down at a younger age. Michael Jordan would not be able to play right now had he not taken 3.5 years off.
