    As I proposed at RealGM a while ago, a trade with the sixers is FAR BETTER than getting crappy players and contracts from NY or Chicago, don't you think?

    Instead of Budinger, why not offering Carl Landry? young, great stats (unlike Budinger) to attract good FA next season....

    Seeing it from the Rockets side? they also win....they have 2 great players for the SAME position (Scola and Landry)....

    A rebuilding team would prefer Landry than Scola (younger, Scola intangibles are not that atractive for rebuilding teams eager to make a media impact).....so, why not giving Landry in the trade?

    Dalembert vs Landry..... both sides win, Rockets get a very needed C they lack (for this season, and for next season covering injury prone Yao)....Sixers get a young and inmediate contributor with upside in Landry....

    Next trade is Igoudala in exhange of an overall 23+ million of salary relief to get a FA as good as Iggy or better....

    Why not present the trade to them this way? don't you think they'd get convinced that this deal is a win-win situation for BOTH teams (TMax expiring is useless for the Rockets, but very useful for the Sixers).....

    Wich other team would offer a better trade to the sixers?

    I wouldn't part with landry but if that's the price to get the 2 guys from philly it would not be that dramatic maybe...

    In a trade like this -> http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=5476596

    The sixers would get a young gun in Landry and 26/27 million in expirings from TMac/Cook... I know we will get big contracts but if you pay attention it's sort of a bet for just one season because we would have a situation with over 40 million in expiring contracts by the end of next season in Yao/Dalembert/Shane/Kapono... And because the next CBA will have lower salary it shoud not be too bloody to resign Yao (if he proves to be back stronger than ever) and maybe another couple of guys...

    Only way Rockets should part with Landry is if they get an offensive big in return. Like Amar'e. Houston needs to do a 3 way with Philly and Phoenix.

    Rockets get: Iguodala, Amar'e & future pick/Speights

    76ers gets: McGrady, Barbosa, Dorsey, rights to Eliyahu & Suns 2nd rounder

    Suns get: Landry, Dalembert, JT & Cook
