    From ESPN:
(Thanks TSchmal for posting the insider article)

If that is true, not sure how much talent they want back in return, but who would you give up to complete a deal. That is you have to add a piece or two, while only getting AI9 and SD

Only untouchables for me in a deal like this are AB0 and Landry. I would be open to trading anyone else.

I used to think this, too. But the most recent game showed me Lowry is needed. If they don't like anyone else, I'd pass on the deal

Rockets are still wanting to maintain their youth as well. Iggy is young, D-Bert is not that young and gets paid too much for being a defensive presence. I think the Rockets believe that Iggy is also overpaid, but is still very serviceable as a player and possibly a trade piece later on. With that said, the youth on our team that others want are the hard-working, bull-headed players who are underpaid, so of course a team rebuilding will want 1 or 2 of our pieces because they are cheap and young.

I think Rockets fans are so used to making big deals that if we stand pat, that it's a fail in the fans minds. Rockets will not trade away valuable pieces of our roster who will fit in well with Yao when he comes back, unless it is of a truly elite player. Bosh and Wade fit that bill, Iggy, Deng, Butler do not. If Philly wants to continue to lose money and delay their rebuilding, they will play by our rules. I don't think Morey is looking at raping and pillaging them, just undress them a little. Give us Iggy, D-Bert (and his trade kicker :() as well as Thad. Young and you get McGrady, Cook and Ariza.

I agree with everything in this post, except I don't see them giving up Young.

If they want to get rid of salary we're willing to help them do that...at our asking price!!

Iggy + Dalembert for McGrady...take it or leave it

    If getting Iggy I'd throw in C-Bud for Philly's 2nd rounder (30's and Morey might find another C-Bud w/ that ;) )

Hopefully Morey will deal with the 76ers or Bulls. Maybe as a deal will be made hourse before the deadline, as indicated many times, both the 76ers and Rockets will come together. Thus, the Rockets are ready to give up on rotation player or even a starter and the 76ers will lower their asking price by taking on a Budinger, Scola or Battier.

    Get it done !!

So at this point Reeko could not have possibly been more wrong. For heaven's sake he'll back pedal now and say that he knew it was all about giving up 1 youngster the entire time.

    That's an interesting quote considering:

that was in response to me asking if the Rockets were out of the Iguodala trade. To me, that signaled Morey wanted no part of SD.

    Dude, keep on talking...

everyone knows that Phili wanted talent back.

it wont happen with Dalembert in the deal homie.

If ESPN is reporting today that we would take Dalembert...in light of recent events
    I'm believing it.

I think Morey is of the opinion that McGrady's expiring contract for Iggy + Dalembert is fair enough without Bud or Scola; considering Philadelphia's position with Dalembert's salary and their record...

I can't wait for Thursday and when Morey gets asked why he did the trade he did and why he DIDN'T do the Iggy trade.

I'll be sure to alert you. ;)

I wonder if it's posturing to get the Knicks to up their offer. It'll be an interesting deadline, for sure. If this trade went down, I'd love to do a Batter for Qrich/Miami's 1st rounder trade. This would clear Shane's salary off our books and give us another mid-1st rounder. We could then package our picks to move up or just add first round depth to a Iguodala/Yao team.

I never said it was a likely trade, but it would put better basketball players on the floor immediately.

You've gone from "Caron is great omgoodneszeszeezs" to "Dalembert obviously breaks the deal" to "ESPN says Dalembert doesn't break the deal, so I'll just revert to young talent instead"

Give me a break. All the opinion you've floated around as fact and at this point we're hearing credible news outlets report the opposite.

wouldn't bother me at all, or we could include Battier in the Phila. deal

not sure Philadelphia would want Battier, but it would be worth a try

Phila. has other players of marginal interest in say Speights, Young, Holiday, Williams

News reports on POTENTIAL deals are about as credible as the national inquire.

You heard Morey when they asked him about the Haywood /Butler rumor?

He said "the names of the teams are right but the names of the players are WRONG".

It happens all the time. I could find a rumor that says the Rockets would be willing to take Brand but it wouldn't be true.

MEDIA REPORTS TO SELL AD SPACE. NOT FACTS.

Jamison instead of Butler. I have mentioned this many times.

If your Walsh, he already knows that complicating and confusing things stretching out the deadline negotiations with Houston and McGrady is more of a strategic goal than to even think about Curry and Jeffries. He'd rather kill time with negotiations and hope a deadline passes rather than to see him be moved to Chicago. lolz, he sees it as everything to gain and thats final. But Morey was smarter you'd think and already had a deal worked out without NY.
