no team in the lead more than another...teams dont get real serious til after the break...72 hour frenzy starts monday. i think we want to do something just wont do a deal just to do a deal.

dont want to be a broken record

    phoenix-kapono/dalembert/andre for amare/jrich.
phoenix doesnt know if they want to move amare for sure

    dallas-brand/iguodala for howard/dampier/gooden/barea
dallas also after caron butler..if they get him.....this talk is done

i think we will do something..it may just be small like kapono for someone if we dont find a bigger deal to our liking

i really dont know whats going on with houston.....not hearing much one way or other about them

cleveland wants to keep hickson....we said ok but danny green isnt enough of a future piece to do the deal. they said..how can we do it without hickson..we said take brand with iguodala instead of dalembert..they said no.

i would do the dallas deal if cuban will do it. right now thats a big if.

i too..would deal speights if it meant getting hickson......

i dont want this same team back next year..i really dont....blow it up......tired of this team/coach/gm/franchise

Dang, I thought his posts all but confirmed that Iggy was not going to the Rockets. Either he/she has not heard talks from Houston because nothing is happening, or Morey continues to be one of the best poker faces in the game.

I wonder if his/her remarks about blowing the team up is out of frustration or hatred for Iggy and his contract

if you start with iggy, i don't think you're going to get much farther than... iggy. not with his contract. i love the guy's game and i think he'd be a great fit here but the man makes more money than he's worth in a time when the league is trying to reign in spending.

Chris Broussard: Last month the Sixers would have traded Iguodala for financial relief but now they won't move him unless they get a player of equal or better value

Not word for word but the gist of it.

Morey's being too patient, now the offers are changing.

Interesting, I don't know if I like the sound of that. Let's hope the other GMs interested don't all have this thought process.

If there was already a good deal he would have accepted it. He didn't say he was waiting for the deadline, but that the offers don't go through until then. GM's are gonna wait till the last minute and consider all offers before accepting anything.

Yeah, now the team is trying hard because they don't really want to get traded; as soon as the deadline passes, if there's no deal, they'll continue to suck.

Right now all the teams are posturing: McGrady might not get traded; Philly's gonna stand pat; if we don't get exactly what we'll want we'll sit this out.

There are plenty of teams that'll want to deal once the deadline gets near.

Exactly what I was afraid of. I was sure that this Philly team would start clicking sooner or later, which is why a deal sooner would have been better. People are so stuck on this "wait until the deadline" crap. Waiting to the deadline isn't always the best deal. In our situation, I didn't think it was. It would have looked better had the Rockets not burned out like they have.

Don't believe any rumors before trade deadline. All GMs play that kind of games. But I hope it's true, Iggy/Dalembert for Tmac isn't a good deal unless Les is willing to go over LT.

Anyone think that we can find a third team to take Dalembert?

Maybe we can try and get Amare Stoudemire or Chris Bosh. Package Dalembert with Luis Scola or Carl Landry.

Houston gets: Andre Iguodala and Amare Stoudemire
Philly gets: Tracy McGrady and Chase Budinger
Phoenix/Toronto gets: Carl Landry/Luis Scola, Samuel Dalembert

    PG: Aaron Brooks
    SG: Trevor Ariza
    SF: Andre Iguodala
    PF: Scola/Landry
    CN: Amare Stoudemire

    bench: Battier, Hayes, Lowry

Trading for Amare would be an interesting scenario, but only if he plans to opt in for another year. This way, we can trial run Yao-Amare for a year to see if they can work together. We could then use Scola or Landry as trade bait to bring in another perimeter player.

It would be a great deal, but it looks like this is not happening for the Rockets.

    Hope I'm wrong though.

It's sad when better team(s) (Cleveland or Phoenix) gets the better player(s) out of the guys we were discussing. If indeed Cleveland or Phoenix locks up Iguodala.

look on the bright side. They won't win Championships and will be looking to unload players in a year or two.

You think Cleveland with Iguodala obviously won't win a chip?

They're only at +170 to win it all this year with Mo and Delonte hurt...

They'd be odds on favorites if that were to go through.

It would be amazing if we could pull in both Iggy and Amare. I would propose JT (as filler) and T-mac for Iggy then Battier and Scola for Stoudemire. I know many members wouldnt want to part with Scola but he is older and getting older and has reached his peak, Amare is either in/or about to enter his. Besides scola I would offer Battier and possibly andersen/Hayes. Why the suns would accept is they need defense badly and scola is rather consistent. ONly issue we'd have is resigning lowry and Amare.

So our roster for the rest of the season would be:

    Brooks/Lowry
    Iggy/C-Bud
Ariza/Cook ( yeah I know a littel bothersome if it comes to that)
    Amare/Landry (*Dorsey)
    Dalembert/ (Hayes or Andersen) (*Dorsey)
