They're balking at the moment. Want more assets in return. But this may be as good as it gets RT @scott_Pitz Think sixers will do trade?

Suns offered Amare for Iggy and Dalembert - explains why Amare started talking about not opting out http://tinyurl.com/yzszvct

(Read it backwards, 2nd one(Suns offered...) then 1st(They're balking...)

Edit: Looks like towW included some of this. So for those who want Iggy(I'm split, player wise it's exactly what we need, money wise - it is a bit of a turn off.) , it appears it's going to take more than McGrady for such a deal to work out. Who else are you willing to throw in? Budinger? Lowry? Anybody? heh

It gives Phoenix the players they want. It gives us some height inside. It gives Philadelphia some cap relief along with some young talent. I don't know if they would give up Thaddeus but it made the trade work out financially.

I would be willing to part with Lowry. He's due for a raise and plays similarly to Iggy.

The other piece I'd be willing to give is Scola or Landry. Especially if Philly includes Speights. I'm reading that the upcoming draft is deep at the power forward spot. We also have Chuck Hayes, who has shown he is not a dud on offense anymore...almost a dud, though

We might not need to trade out Lowry if the Suns include Barbosa. The Suns are getting the most value in the trade.

I was messing in the trade machine and after this trade we could ship Scola and Cook to Sacramento for Kevin Martin. I think if we were able to obtain Kevin Martin, Amare Stoudemire and Thaddeus Young while retaining Carl Landry off the bench and Aaron as our point guard we become instant contenders this year and next.

If the Suns don't want Dalembert they can swing him to Sacramento and we take Martin while trading up to 4mil in "asset"s to the the Sixers.

So it would look like this... this + a few of our assets to Sixers

If we could pull that off we would be STACKED.

    Aaron Brooks, Kyle Lowry
    Kevin Martin, Chase Buddinger
    Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier
    Luis Scola, Carl Landry
Amare Stoudemire, Chuck Hayes, David Andersen

During the offseason let Scola walk and sign Lowry with the MLE.

    Brooks, Lowry
    K-Mart, Chase
    Ariza, Battier
    Stat, Landry
    Yao, Hayes, Andersen

The Suns would almost have to include Barbosa in a deal for Iggy and Dalembert. I doubt they would want to take him back with a deal worth around 7 mill next season.

Amare is nixing the Philly trade. It wont happen now because Philly wants to use him as an expiring and he knows that he loses his "home team can sign for more" rights. Amare is going to do everything in his power to not only get max money but get Max max money.

I like the idea of a 3-way (who doesn't  ), but Sixers are looking for young talent. So here's my contribution to your original trade:

    Sixers send: Iguodala, Dalembert
    Suns send: Amar'e, 2nd rounder
Rockets send: McGrady, Landry, JT, Dorsey, Cook, rights to Eliyahu

Sixers receives: McGrady, JT, Dorsey, Suns' 2nd & rights to Eliyahu
    Suns receives: Landry, Dalembert, Cook
    Rockets receives: Amar'e, Iguodala

Everyone wins. Suns' have coveted Landry, and Dalembert. Houston gets a legit 4/5 who can score & block shots, and finally fills the void at SG with a TRUE shooting guard instead of a SF forced into the position. Sixers get a big expiring plus young talent for the future.

How about we turn this into a 3-way trade then?

    Houston gets:
    Amare
    Barbosa

    Philly gets:
    Mac
    Scola (or Lowry)

    Phoenix gets:
    Iggy
    Dalembert

I've always liked the idea of having Barbosa at the 2. This may be the opportunity to snag him.
