Yep, just because they are willing to part with some talent doesn't mean we get the deal.

Do you think that the Rockets are looking to moving more than just TMac during the trading deadline? and if so the organization still believes that the team can get it done this season in the playoffs(more than the first round WCF)?

Is Sacramento still interested in Dalembert at all? Kenny Thomas' expiring would help here, but not sure if that avenue is even open.

    Iggy + Williams + Young

I dont think we need that much more young talent! We have young talent (Landry,Brooks,Lowry,C-Bud, and arguably Ariza)I think we should be happy with just Iggy and Dallembert if thats the only way we can get Iggy! Why take philly's young guys when we have better young guys in my opinion!

The more the better.. It says we dont want Dalembert, but I think if we get extra young bodies we take him

Wouldn't including Dalembert help Philly out financially, too?

If a player gets traded their salary goes up a certain %, usually about 15%. It's compensation for being traded from the team you chose to sign with in the first place and also a deterrent from being traded in the first place. You see that 12 million Dalembert is making? Add another 15% on top of it and that's the salary you are paying for him, almost as much as Yao. That's alot to pay for a player of his talent level.

That being said I would totally do the trade. I would throw in Ariza as Iggy is a better player than him both offensively and defensively.

That way they get cap relief this year and a young player that has 'ship experience and potential while we get Iggy and a backup center for next year. We also get under the LT for this year (I think) while we would have a nearly 14 million expiring contract for next year.

The only bad thing would be we would have no money to pay both Lowry and Scola. I think because of Dalembert Scola would have to go which is very unfortunate.

Acquire young talent, groom it if you want(see Brooks, Landry) and trade them off for bigger, better talent. That's how you acquire the big fish. Or simply, just use McGrady's contract. :)

We don't have to worry about them giving Iggy and Dalembert to another team.
They called the league and were 0 for 29 with trading Dalembert. Nobody wants to pay Dalembert's salary+kicker.

McGrady + Cook + Ariza for Iggy + Dalembert + Young/Speights/Holiday. Maybe throw a first at Philly (2010 protected) to sweeten the deal.

They would have to give us 2 of the 3 young players.. and we keep the pick.

Why would they need to give us two? We're stretching it with just one. Rockets can't make their cake and eat it, too. The fans here are so greedy. You have to think about the other team, too.

If were taking Dalembert's contract, they have to give us 2 young up and comers. Iggy is B talent making A talent money, so his situation to begin with doesnt help Philly's trading case. Dalembert's contract is a whole different monster. Iggy+Dalembert's contracts would destroy us next season in cap space.

If they dont offer us 2 young studs in that deal, no dice in my book. I am perfectly fine with letting Tslack sit and expire and I am willing to bet Daryl is as well.

cant believe this thread is still going. philly wont take ariza, les wont pay lux tax or trade kicker for dalembert. get over it. we are NOT getting iggy.

if morey turned down miller and salmons for tmac, that means tmac is the one in charge. morey cant be that dumb.
