It's because Lowry has more value than Dalembert and both players are deal breakers.

    Understand this:

The combination of Dalembert/Williams has negative value.

Both Scola and Lowry individually and combined has positive value.

McGrady has positive value do to his contract from management standpoint.

Hayes has equal value as does both Young and Speights.

This makes up the difference with McGrady's contract and Cook as Lowry and Scola has more value then Williams and especially Dalembert. This is a fair trade.

Iggy/Dalembert/Williams for McGrady/Lowry/Cook is the worst of any combination of deals they could make and the season records of Houston '23-18' compared to Philly '13-28' proves that.

I'm starting to think we should see what we can get for Tracy, without having to give up any other players.

Those guys look really good as a group tonight. I'd hate to see any of our fellas go. We just need someone to replace Tracy, that's it.

Anybody the board has mentioned in trade talks will do.

So what I've read so far on the web, is Iggy is for the taken as long as we take on Sam Dal. For this team this year, I think its a good deal. Cause we won't have enough to sign a max player. And hoping to sign a good free agent next summer is like a crab shoot. I wish the Rockets will do the deal already.

    Yes, a Iggy/Dalembert/Holiday/Speight for T-Mac/Cook/Brooks

The way it looks this is the best deal that will help the team and not break up the current roster. TMac for Iggy and Dalembert works. That will be enough for me, you don't need another player in the mix and if there is another player the only ones I would offer Sixers would be either Dorsey, Cook, or Taylor.

Depends on who else their willing to move.

    Speights
    Young
    Williams
    Iggy
    Dalembert

Is the package i'd be after. When looking at salaries for Houston we'd lose one of Scola and Lowry anyways at the end of the season in any McGrady deal. When moving McGrady might as well move all three, because, like i just mentioned. That is the smart thing to do.

You have to look at the season after next season to extend Landry and Brooks, not just next season.

Now look at the rumored pieces Houston is after: Martin, Butler, Bosh and look at the pieces from Philly and match them up to those teams in any three team deal to see if they'll be willing to make a move.

Houston still has Andersen, Taylor, Dorsey, Cook basically everybody not named Ariza, Battier, Hayes, Landry, Brooks, Yao, Budinger, Llull would be sweetners.

That is what you work with.

Now think of what the Rockets are really after? Bosh - best player through trade? Wings? Evidently so. Now rank them to veteran players who want to win.

    1:Jamison
    2:Butler

Now rank the ones we might be after most:

    1: Bosh
    2: Iggy
    3: Butler
    4: Martin
    5: Rubio

It's already been said that going young is the direction:

    1: Bosh
    2: Iggy
    3: Martin
    4: Rubio

Rank the teams who are most likely to deal giving Houston's situation:

    1: Philly
    2: Washington
    3: Chicago
    4: Phoenix

Rank the third team who might possibly be involved:

    1: Portland
    2: Toronto
    3: Cleveland
    4: Dallas

Rank the 4th teams who might possibly be involved:

    1: Golden State
    2: Memphis
    3: New York
    4: New Orleans

Rank the teams who can take on salary:

    1: Cleveland
    2: Houston
    3: Dallas

Rank the players who are most likely to be moved:

    1: Gay
    2: Jamison
    3: McGrady
    4: Martin

Rank the biggest assets: *= player most likely to be moved.

    1: Scola*
    2: Lowry*
    3: McGrady*
    4: Andersen
    5: Dorsey
    6: Taylor
    7: Cook*

Rank the keepers: *= most likely to stay.

    1: Landry*
    2: Brooks*
    3: Ariza
    4: Battier
    5: Budinger*
    6: Hayes
    7: Llull*

Let's see if we can figure all this out. Evidently Bosh is #1 which tells me if they are after a bigman then they'll rank:

    1: Bosh
    2: Stoudemire

Biggest contracts that need to be moved:

    1: Brand
    2: Dalembert

Think we can figure this out?

Apparently someone has a deal ready for Louis Williams. He was benched today in favor of Jrue Holiday, the rookie.

Maybe... but this is: "An Iggy in the hand is worth a Bosh in the bush."

If Andre Iguodala is a so called third option on offense, well, I have never seen a third option that can average 20-5-5 on 46% shooting... Plus FANTASTIC defense...

Not to mention he has room for growth...

You may be correct, Philly will move Iggy to a contender. I don't see them doing their players wrong. They shipped Barkley to a contender. They shipped Iverson to a contender. What else have they done?

I would consider it more of a if any of them have the ball shoot it. no need to relinquish it.

But I would make it Paul as option 1 and allen and KG as 2a and 2b

I'll tell you one thing. Philly is hurting that they'll want more for Iggy/Dalembert/Speights/Young/Williams and to me only Dalembert/Iggy/Williams is what they want to move. They want to clear the cap space using Iggy as much as possible. For the Rockets to consider 'All' of them for just McGrady is absurd no way that will happen.

His numbers are inflated a little from averaging 40 mpg, but he does have a great all-around game that would fit in perfectly with the Rox.

Iggy averages 15.8 pts in 38.6 min game for his career. He's averaging 17.7 pts this season on 42.5% shooting.

He's the first option for a lottery bound team(14-28).

There are many players that would be the 3rd option on a championship team, but would be the 1st option lottery team. Just look at the Nets. Devin Harris(15.3 pts) and Brook Lopez(19.1 pts) are the 1st and 2nd option for a lotto team. Both players would be the 3rd option on the Celtics(Garnett, Pierce), Lakers(Gasol, Kobe or Shaq, Kobe), Spurs(Duncan, Robinson or Duncan, Parker) or Heat(Wade, Shaq) championship teams.

I conclude with Artest. He scored more than Iggy as the 1st/2nd option for Sacramento. Trade him to a championship team like the Lakers and he moved to 4th in scoring after Kobe, Gasol and Bynum. If the Lakers had traded for Iggy instead of signing Artest, I see it playing out the same.
