That's correct we need to get some value in return.

There is no guarantee D. Wade, Bosh, Lebron, Etc. will come here via free agency.

Toronto is going to have to send out more players. They send out one but get back five? That won't work.

Agree with this aa=ll the way> Provides options if Ariza or Shane is having an off game. Also allows a lineup of Aaron, Trevor, and Iggy. The youngest most explosive lineup next to OKC. However, they all play D. This allows Shane and Bud to back them up along with Lowry. Plus Dalembert will give us more than Chuck at the backup 5 spot. Plus Landry or Scola

you gotta have room on your roster to accomodate the trade tho. unless toronto is currently playing with 11 guys, they have to send out more.

You have to have roster spots available for those players you're trading. Toronto would either have to trade more players or cut some.

Let's not even talk about the elephant in the room though - why Chicago trades Hinrich AND Tyrus Thomas for Samuel Dalembert. The Bulls GM would decline that trade in the 76ers GM's dream.

Your sig is wrong. That's NOT Morey's strategy. If you trade away your young assets, you don't have a good enough team to attract big name free agents.

People talked about Ron Artest too way before it happened...so Dwyane Wade will NEVER happen,...Morey doesnt have the guts to do the big move...Rockets will never get their "third scorer"...

I was just thinking the recent good performance by Mr. Dalembert is very good for the Rockets. He's still not worth paying more than $28.4 million for, but this makes it much easier to convince a 3rd team that won't have to worry about luxury tax next season and can use a tall guy, to give the Rockets and/or Philly an expiring contract for Dalembert (maybe plus some cash consideration to offset part of the salary).

Double edged sword though, Philly might be less likely to use Iggy to dump him. :(

Don't worry, the team is still not going anywhere... still isn't making any money, either.

Looked fairly mutually beneficial until I got to Chicago. They would have no incentive. I think they can do better than the bad contract of Samuel Dalembert (who they don't even need since they have Noah) in return for Tyrus Thomas and Kirk Hinrich. They'd never agree to this

I would agree however it may be a last second desperation play for some team...

McGrady + Ariza + Cook for Iggy + Dalembert + Young.

    Make it happen, Morey. :)

    Don't think so.

Nice stats with no wins coming from it. He could put up those same stats on the Rockets and win.

Sammy's in full showcase mode at this point. The guy has skills (rebounding and blocking, at least) and is big, something you can't teach. I think he'd go quite well backing up Yao with our second unit.

That being said, his contract is rather large and doesn't expire yet. Contracts not expiring this off-season don't have much value. He may be able to contribute, but no one's going to want him specifically because he's simply not worth his contract.

I like your trade. This would plug a lot of holes.
