I realize I didn't account for the numbers. I just felt in terms of actual talent and production, thats what Iguodala is worth to us.

I don't think it's going to happen indeed unless they give us some nice talent.

    LOL no I'm not CD.

I'm not advocating including Brooks or Landry in the deal. I'm just trying to imagine the deal from Philly's POV.

Of course for Houston, you'd want to include Cook instead of one of our core guys.

But if you were the Sixers GM would you be willing to trade basically your franchise player for expiring contracts only? No, I think you would be looking to get some talent back to compensate for losing Iggy's points, a player that can be a piece in a rebuilding project.

As for whether I would do this deal, well honestly, I'm on the fence. I love our players, but I do see the need for a game-changer like Iguodala.

For McGrady + Cook, though, this deal becomes a no-brainer.

Man, if we somehow ended up with Iggy without having to take on Brand or Dalembert and got any one of the young guys mentioned, it would be amazing. I can't believe I just read that in the Philly paper.

^ I think the article is implying that we will take one of Brand and Dalembert to make the salaries work, but not both.

At this moment this is the deal I like most. Andre Iguadola would fit perfectly on this team. AI works hard, plays D, can score efficiently and can run with this offense. I would take Samuel Dalembert as the one bad contract coming back. SD would be a great backup for a season and would be a defensive presence around the basket. Not to mention a 12mill expiring contract next season

I read it again and you're probably right, but I didn't read any emphasis into the word "and." Must be the late night.

I go to school in Philly and I get to see a lot of Iguolda and I wouldn't be very happy if the rockets got him.

Iguodala is good...but not how fantastic as someone thoughts...

Its Impossible that if the trade have to involve our young talents such as AB,Landry, lowry or Ariza..just for Iggy.....Nooooooo

Mclady+Budinger or JT or Andersen = Iggy+ core player or R1 pick = ok!

    Mclady+Cook = Iggy+whoever = ThanksGod!

    enlighten me abt this..

is Iggy a good playmaker? please no Ariza comparisons here.. just how good is he in creating shots ? I remember someone here mentioned that Eddie Jordan is struggling without a playmaker on the 6ers .

Brand's albatross contract is too much to swallow, under any circumstances. But Dalembert's is not nearly as bad. Plus he could be the best backup Yao's ever had. I have no problem giving away one of our young pieces, (heaven forbid Carl), if it means we get Iguodala. Make it happen Morey.

Id be amazed if we landed iggy/young/speights. Those guys are just perfect. Hopefully a deal goes through. But as the past has shown us, the deals Morey do are rarely leaked so idk, maybe another smoke screen.

I see at the article site that ClutchFans has heavily influenced the "should the Sixers trade for McGrady poll".

I would be ecstatic if we acquired Iggy.

I have no problem at all if the Rockets traded McGrady for Iggy and expiring scrubs. Iggy should fit perfectly in to Adelman's system and will force Ariza to work for his minutes.

Iggy has been a freak the past few seasons. Only 1 or 2 point shy of 20ppg and dropping almost 6 dimes and 5 rebounds per game.

what i like about iggy is his clutch playoffs performance last season..he's not a great shooter but has mid-range game...if we acquire him, Ariza,Battier,Iggy...we're solid.
