LOL! That played won the Fantasy Football championship for me. As soon as Westbrook broke that run I let out a NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO soon to be followed by a YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! LOL I love fantasy football.
LOL. First thing I thought about after Westbrook pwned Fallas on that last play was....FF owners are going to be pissed.
Well I just lost $1,000 today in my fantasy league... Damn Cowboys... took me to the championship game - then caused me a loss with their underwhelming play today.
People stop picking on Westbrook, the guy is a complete stud and without him the Eagles would be close to the Dolphins in terms of wins. I remember a few weeks ago against the Seahawks, He returned a punt for 64 yards with under 2 minutes left to setup the Eagles for the game winner and Feeley threw the game away with an interception to Lofa Tatupa. Say whatever you want but this guy is thoroughbred and can flat out run the ball and make plays. Put him on a good team with a decent passing game and he would be a lock for the Pro Bowl. McNabb is trash now and on the decline and the Eagles' receivers are the same. With that said the Cowboys are the bigger story here. They showed their true colors today and struggled against a physical defense willing to blitz and go after Tony Romo. Their 12-2 record is the result of close call against the Bills and Lions and could easily be a 10-4 team looking at possible wild card game instead of a 1st round bye. I am not sold on the Boys as a lock to represent the NFC in the Superbowl. Vikings, Seahawks and Packers could win against this team. It won't be a cakewalk to Arizona as many would have you believe.
Don't call 'em out. Dallas fans are a bunch of friggin' loudmouths already - let's not invite them to respond.
I disagree with many of your points. I seriously doubt McNabb is trash. People seem to forget he is coming back from one of the worst injuries a player can have and besides Westbrook he is surrounded by pretty mediocre talent on the offensive side of the ball. He has thrown for over 2500 yard and has 14 TDs and just 6 ints plus the 208 yards and 1 TD he threw today. If he comes back next year with the Eagles, as Banner stated he will be, then after or during next season would be a good time to judge whether or not he is on a decline. The only thing I saw today out of the Cowboys was that when things get going bad T.O. will show his true colors as he looked frustrated and blew up on the sidelines a couple of times. I don't think the Cowboys are a lock for the Super Bowl either but 2 of the 3 teams you named they have already defeated and for some reason Seattle does not impress me. While I certainly do not believe they are a lock for the Super Bowl, make no mistake about it they are one of the best teams in the NFC. I thought differently earlier in the season but now I am convinced they are. And when I state that they are not a lock for the Super Bowl that is not a shot because I do not even believe the Patriots are a lock in the AFC. Anything can happen, remember that.
Cowboy fan here - let me be the first to say congrats. I know you are a big Eagle fan and must be happy with this victory. The Eagles were by far the better team today and deserved to win. This is the first game of the season where the offense could not get going and I think it has a lot to the defensive game plan executed by the Eagles. As a Cowboy fan - I am a little worried about their recent play especially since they have been outplayed the last two weeks and got lucky in Detroit last week. The last couple of Decembers have not been been good for the 'Boys. I am hoping they can finish off the season strong against Carolina and Washington to gain some momentum into the playoffs.
This game had huge implications in my fantasy league. The first place team (13-1) had Romo and TO and had been double dipping points all year long. He went down today as a result of the 5 points combined between the two. Incidentally, I have Westbrook, and was cursing at the TV about the flop at the 1-yard line, but I had enough to win this week and advance to the 2nd round thanks to Defense and Special Teams: New England D and Mason Crosby. Those two combined for 38 points this week. Next week, I'm in the championship.
People complaining about westbrook choosing to win the game and not pander to some stat-happy dork-fest on the internet need to get a life.
Cowboy fan here as well. Props to the eagles. They kept plugging away and pulled off the upset. It was funny seeing Westbrook slide down at the one. I gotta say though, that was some horrible offensive football played on both sides yesterday. Hopefully the cowboy injuries aren't too bad and Romo gets his head on straight for the next 2 games before the playoffs.
thats what you people get for drafting smart and unselfish players like Westbrook. Thats why I got people like Terell on my team, you know he's gonna get his, damn the score and situation. LOL
The Cowboys played a horrible game and the Eagles handed it to them. Hopefully this is a wake up call and they get their act back together. I told my buddy before the game that I thought it was going to be tough. Eagles Cowboys is never easy.
"Philly beat us...straight up. Pay him. Pay that man his money." - KGB I'm a realist when it comes to the Cowboys. I know they are overhyped at times. I know they aren't playing well in December for several years now. I know we've had 2 or 3 games which could have easily been losses had "luck" not been on our side. To be honest, the difference in this year's team and last year's team isn't all that great as of right now. We could have easily been 9-5 right now instead of 12-2. I personally feel that the Cowboys could have just blown their opportunity to secure home field in the playoffs. We have to win two road games. I'm more worried about the Washington game because there is another team that always gets up to play us. The Cowboys struggle at times to play well both offensively and defensively at the same time. It's too much of "the defense is on but the offense is off" or vice versa. They can't seem to get it completely together...is my main worry going forward. All the talk aside...the Cowboys have to perform when it counts. Is the loss a good thing? Well...it could be because this team tends to get overconfident and lose sight of what makes them play well. In the end, their luck may have just run out going forward. We will see.
What Westbrook did was awesome. He sealed the victory at the expense of personal stats, but it's bigger than that. He gets a bonus for every touchdown, and he just gave it up for the win. Really, really classy thing to do.
