Hank Hill says " Ugh, God".

PS What does college action have to do with present NBA Action?
Francis is better than Bibby in every aspect of the game. IMO.

    Baron Davis , Jason Kidd, and Gary Payton are better than both of them;

What big game has Francis played in and didn't disappear. Research that for me, would you please. Does he make his teammates better, can he run a fast break properly, does he push the ball up the floor when the situation calls for it. Can he play better defense on opposing guards. When Francis learns to do those things he will definitely be #1

Man pleeze. Andre Miller and Baron Davis were contributors to the USA Dream Team 5 disaster, and you saw what they did there, so don't even mention those names to me. Maybe next time they'll get it right by putting Francis and Bibby instead of those two lames.

Tell me he did not just say that??!!! - Booker T

Let me ask you this, when at one point when Steve was out how many games did we lose? 15 in a row!!! When Steve came back (even with the migraines and shoulder problems) tell me that our team didn't look considerably better. I know our record was ugly with him, but you can't tell me that with Steve there and playing our team wasn't competitive or had a way greater chance of winning the game. Without Steve the Rockets are lost. So to answer your "question" (if you consider that one), hell yes he makes his teammates better!!!!

No,no, no............Dream Team lost because George Karl can't coach talent.
    Rudy T can
    Jerry Sloan can
    Phil Jackson can
    Rick Adelman can ..................

Sam Cassell just took Stevie's spot because of Truth ladies and gentlemen.

Yeah yeah yeah, blame the coaches, like everyone else in sports.
The fact of the matter is Miller nor Davis could score late in games. So you can shift the blame to the coach all you want, but it all comes down to players producing, most importantly in "crunch" time.

Baron Davis scores in crunch time; carried his team on his back to the second round last year.
Jason Kidd carried his team to the NBA Finals.
Andre Miller led the league in assists with no talent on the Cav s roster.
Sam Cassell is one of the scoring leaders in playoff history plus has two rings to show for it.
    Gary Payton lights Steve up.
old Pasty lights Steve and Bibby up.
Steve Nash even lights him up.

I'm tired of arguing let the regular season start.
If Steve can help raise the scoring averages of all our "talent" ..........
If Bibby can get past the fakers.....

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE SEASON TO START.....

    we'll talk later son.

I don't consider avg. 6 assists per game making your team better. He was more of a scorer last year. Now the supporting cast is better we shall see.

Ya know what?!! This is my last response to you.
Steve had to score for us to be competitive, don't you see that?!
With all of the injuries I think 6 assists was good, besides who was he going to throw it to? Collier? We were ranked 26th out of 29 teams for shooting%. On top of that he is the best rebounding guard in the L, he gets a lot of putbacks, so that takes away from assist chances as well.

P.S We WILL see. Francis will silence all of the haters with his new supporting cast. Remember what John Lucas said about him at the end of that ESPN story, right. Believe it.

Ok, I remember when I first started I was discussing PG rankings and found out some things. Miller CAN be ahead of Steve because of assists, but you must know a few things. Andre had Murray and another guy (forgot his name.) who were both excellent spot up shooters. Lucas used this to his advantage, and Miller got the high assists. Now if he does this with LA, maybe that will go away.

For Davis, he has a better team, imo, than Steve had. Mashburn, although not playing much, and Campbell both helped him. Even Wesley probably helped him. IMO, Campbell could make a big difference. He is a low post threat that can give Davis a few extra assists. Only Cato's 2 or 3 dunks a game could really contend with that. Plus, he was in the East. :D However, I do think Davis is real good, but he may have looked a BIT better with a better team and spotlight on him.

Now for Bibby...hahaha. Ok, so he stepped it up in the playoffs, but a lot of guys can get hot for a few weeks. For the season, he had 14 and 5. Really good numbers. Now you could say he does not get assists because of too many passers, but then Steve does not get assists because of poor shooters.

Now this is all my opinion. Do I think Steve should get better on D and pass to his new teammates? Heck yeah! But I do think he is very skilled and does very well in the situation given to him.

The Rockets record two years ago was just as good as the Hornets. If the Rockets played in the East, they would have a chance at the finals this year. The East sucks, proven by how Jason Kidd's Nets got posterized by the Lakers.

DaneB has a much more accurate version of the top ten. I love me my stevie, but this list sucked. How can you even give it any credibility, not that any ranking list could ever be good.

sydmill, you are a man looking to the future with a good eye. I have been saying the same damn thing. TJ runs a true point, plays defense and can score! He is going to be the man.

Unlike his fellow draftees, Francis would play with heart if he were on an Olympic team. I was really high on Miller and Davis but Pierce was the only one who played like he wanted to win. If not for the world championships I would've definitely had Miller and Davis in the top 5.

I think its cool that steve made it at #2, but some of the rankings were horrible---like Jay Williams making the list. He hasn't proved anything in the L yet. Also, Damon doesn't deserve to be that high anymore.

    Best point guards

    1. Sam Cassell- who else on that list hit a buzzer beater to win a championship game? Game 2 in NY the rookie splashed a three as time ran out to crush the hearts of 8 million New Yorkers. Than he sped off in a limo and banged up Madonna.`

2.Stevie Francis- Franchise to Yao. Wow.
