    My Coaching Wish List. (available)

    1. Phil Jackson
    2. PJ Carlesmo
    3. Del Harris

you may hate PJ but he wins.. hes a winner. He knows how to get the best out of the guys he has and understands the game from an X/O and human standpoint.

the more I see JVG the quicker I realize he is a defensive specialist better served as an assistant coach somewhere else.

are you talking about PJ #1 or PJ #2?

i forgot about carlesmo...i'm not sure what kind of coach he is. i do remember that he had a pretty exciting team in GS years ago before getting choked by spree. he might be a good fit since he has had a chance to be pop's ast. maybe he was able to merge his exciting gs offense with the spurs defense?

probably not, but still a good choice i guess.

I think if Van Gubdy can get us into the playoffs this year he's toast. You can't sit on JVG when Phil Jackson drooling over the job. It's perfect for Phil and for Yao and T-Mac. I mean freaking perfect. It's also perfect for the Darth Vader. It's almost too perfect. So I think JVG is gonna have to show progress or he's gone. No doubt about it. Right or Wrong. It's just too obvious to deny what is going to happen.

Has Phil Jackson given any indication he wants to coach the rockets? If JVG goes, he goes i'm fine with that. Just don't assume Phil Jackson takes the job; i'm just not sold on it. Were the rockets one of the teams he faxed his resume to? :)

I think Phil will only come here once the league 'consensus' is that Yao Ming is going to become a dominant, franchise center. No way he's going to coach this team if Yao Ming ends up being the next Rik Smits (which is still a possiblity at this point).

This is one of those things that needs no indicator light, no quote, or shred of evidence that it's going to happen. It's inevitable. Like jordan coming back. Like Parcells coaching Dallas. Like Gibbs coaching the Redskins. Some things you just know are going to happen because all the pieces fit into place. The only one who can stop the momentum now will be Van Gundy. He controls the destiny of this team and he can turn it around. Now there are three things certain in life. Death, Taxes, Phil Jackson with the two best players.

That's what I think. Right now, Yao is tissue paper and McGrady looks lost, confused, and lazy. No way does Phil want to actually do something helpful and guide these guys to greatness. Besides, the role players are too dumb to learn the triangle.

We need to bump the threads three years ago when everyone was saying Yao was the biggest bust every in the NBA history.

JVG is the best coach for Yao/T-mac. Let's see what happens this year. I never stopped believing in JVG.

I would still rather have PJ or RT. With Yao and Tmac this is what JVG should be doing.

The JVG haters are morons. What the hell are you watching. JVG has taken a completly new team, subtracted and added numerous key pieces on the fly, and molded them into one of the top teams in the league in 1/2 season. Yao is making steady progress, he is improving as we watch. The transformation of Yao in these past two months is all about good coaching. Try different looks and combinations, keep what works and lose what does not. Jeff Van Gundy is the clear choice for Coach of the Year.
He is a great Yao coach, great McGrady coach, great guard coach.
Seesh, this team was literally unwatchable in November and December, now it is as exciting as any we have had.
